3 Easy Ways to Ensure Your Long Term Success on a Raw Vegan Diet

[UltraVid id=140 ]Alright! This is John Kohler with okraw.com today with
another exciting episode for you and we have very special interview for you guys today
got my friend dr. Rick Dina who’s been on a raw vegan diet now
for 29 years. He actually started in 1987 and I myself have
been doing a raw vegan plant-based diet now since 1995 so I’m going into my 21st year
this year and we’re going to talk about a topic that’s important to the both of us,
is how do you maintain and stay raw for a long period of time? You know you might see other You Tubers on
YouTube that have been doing it 6 months a couple 2, 1 year 3 years and giving all these
tips but I really want to give you guys good solid information from people that have been
really been doing this a long time and have a lot more experience that you could really
learn from, grow from and benefit from. So we are going to ask Dr Rick and he will
share with you guys the top 3 ways how you can stay raw for the long term, so Dr Rick
what are these 3 ways that people need to know? Dr Rick: Well alright I’m borrowing some
information from a telesummit my wife Dr Karen Dina and I gave a little while ago on the
exact same topic how to stay raw over the long term? And we’ve got three basic reasons and you
could go into a lot more details with each of those reasons. Number 1 is motivation, people have to find
what motivates them and so the thing is, if you’re if you’re going along eating pizza
and cheeseburgers eating your donuts and everything’s good life’s great, why give up all the stuff
that you like? There’s no reason to so people find all sorts
of different incentives and reasons why they want to make some dietary changes in the first
place and those have to be compelling enough to get you to try something different and
learn some new things and give up some stuff that you used to like. So for a lot of people health is the main
reason so course weight loss is huge almost everybody out there in the world so many people
need to lose weight and literally it’s growing all the time in terms of the percentage of
our population that’s overweight so I mean a healthfully implemented raw food diet can
do that so well and I do say healthfully implemented cause there’s a lot of kind of raw food diets
out there that people gain weight on so fruit and vegetable based logical sensible good
education although that’s coming up in a minute. So people want to lose weight. People often time want to increase their athletic
performance I mean that’s huge God I’ve had so many people I’ve consulted with that
have said they have start eating more fruits and vegetables and their marathon times are
decreasing and they were recovering faster from the workouts and all sorts of stuff like
that. Sometimes people also noticed that their brain
capacity is improved it is dramatically better so for example my father-in-law is 90 years
old and my wife Dr Karen isn’t here right now because she is helping him out. She flew across the country and his brain
is functioning better now at 90 then it was previously at 85 and so she really helped
him make some major changes in his diet even though he’s not doing nearly as much as we’d
like him too he’s included more fruits and vegetables and it’s made a big difference
in how quick his mind is and how sharp he is and he’s still living on his own and it’s
his friends and neighbours are pretty convinced that if it weren’t for her help he wouldn’t
be on his own and he probably wouldn’t still be with us. So a lot of us have noticed that our brains
are the clearest when we are eating the healthiest. Lot of times people find for example you’ll
see a lot of yoga people who eat a raw food diet there’s a big connection there because
number 1 they’re interested in athletic performance and flexibility so they find that it’s easier
to get into complex poses and they can hold things longer and their strength improving
as well as there’s a spiritual connection with yoga so people find that when their body
is clear and clean they just feel more connected no matter what their take on things. or their spiritual religious views are they
just feel more calm and more connected to whatever they’re trying to connect with so
that’s a big part of it. Many people find incentive to improve their
health when they are faced with some type of major Health Challenge okay I’ve got high
blood pressure I’ve high cholesterol you know whatever other issues are going on and
people don’t always like the way they feel from the medications or they’re starting to
get angina pain and they know that that’s going to lead to heart disease for example
and they have grandkids that they want to see grow up and you know life’s good and
they don’t want to cut it short so disease reversal is a huge incentive maybe other than
weight loss may be one of the biggest reason cause it’s not so easy again to give up your
pizza and hotdogs and all that stuff you like. But when someone says when you get educated
and you realize wow is those things worth losing my life over wow you’ve got enough
incentive now to give those things up and it’s better to eat oatmeal and fruit smoothies
and stuff like that in the morning and enjoy yourself rather than have bacon and eggs and
not be around so that’s a big part of it. Then once people get healthy they want to
stay healthy so they to maintain their health they they want to keep eating healthy so that’s
another major incentive and then there’s a few of us out there that are wise enough that
we don’t want to wait till we have a health problem we’ve seen what’s happened to family
members we see what’s going on in society and we’re enjoying being vital and healthy
and youthful and we want to stay that way for a long time so there’s another good reason
so we’re still on the number 1 top reasons maintaining things long term is what motivates
people what gives them John: Why yeah what why? What motivated me I got into this because
of my health it was loss of my life and that that I didn’t need any other reason man I
mean I want to be here man. Dr Rick: That a good enough it’s only one
reason but boy that’s pretty big, stick around you know that’s huge and going back
to again with the spiritual connection and yoga that I was using in this example a lot
of people find that they feel better emotionally when they eat healthfully I mean people go
out and you know eat Diorites all day and all that kind of stuff and it’s hard not to
feel on edge and whatnot so emotional health can also be a big reason people find incentive
and then beyond personal health reasons there’s other reasons as well so a lot of people don’t
feel comfortable having to kill something so they can live so they just want to eat
plants instead of you know killing animals and I really can appreciate that and then
people also realize that okay if you eat some plants like this you can get the calories
directly from the plans but if you feed these plants to animals 96 or so percent whatever
it is of the calories from these plants go into the animal’s metabolism and then we don’t
actually get those calories back when we eat the animals so leaving a lighter footprint
on the earth it is a big reason also and the more reasons you have stacked up the more
likely you are to stick with it over the long term. if health is your only concern and you’re
feeling pretty healthy but someone says oh you need to eat fish for the DHA and EPA the
long-chain omega-3 fats highly and saturated fats are extremely important by the way. You might be like no problem bring on the
fish but if you’re concerned about the planet and we realize we’re overfishing and that’s
causing a lot of environmental destruction and that type of thing and you also actually
care about the fish themselves you’ll stay on a plant-based path, so you’ve got more
reasons than just your health. Sometimes people find that they they get healthy
they are feeling good but then some other things creep back into their diet, their joint
pain comes back or their blood pressure goes up again so the more reasons you have the
more likely you are to stick with it over the long-term all else being equal. John: So Dr Rick as much as I had you know
losing my life as my main motivation to start now that I’ve been doing this for over the
years I’ve seen and started piling on like you suggested other reasons that kind of give
leverage to me to stick with this diet since it is having like one brick you know as a
weight I have like 20 bricks as a foundation like I’m building a pyramid here man and
that pyramids is solid man it aint going anywheres and you know yea I mean I’ve experienced
doing it but experience like the different spiritual connection the connect with nature
wanting to conserve the planet the planet’s resources and being more concerned about that
and opening me up to like solar power and not consuming all these natural gas and gasoline
resources on the planet and does all these things are super important so as much as you
might have one that’s like the most important to you now put them in order make a list actually
of what the most important ones and as you go on in this journey you’ll learn other
things and why it’s so important to continue this and to keep it up. Dr Rick: Yea, that’s such a good point John
and I know for me I wanted to lose some weight and get in shape and my brain was kind of
cloudy and foggy and once I started doing that I started feeling so much better and
I started thinking about the animals. I use to think those animal rights people
bunch of whackos you know I don’t want to hear but you know I started to understand
them like that’s a really good point and then the planetary things and this spiritual
stuff I just yea it all starts to come together so it’s kind of nice you get into one arena
and once you’re or one avenue and then you get into the arena and you you realise all
the other reasons as well. John: Right
Dr Rick: So the more of those you can connect to the better. John: Absolutely, so yea that’s number 1
what’s the second way? Dr Rick: Number 2 and this is this is where
my wife and I what we do with our life’s work is so critical I think number 2 is education
it’s because people can have all the incentive in the world but then what happens is they
start on a plant-based diet they’re feeling good and sometimes they don’t do it right
they think that handfuls and nuts and seeds and all the gourmet food is going to be the
healthiest for them and maybe their health improved some but not nearly as much as they
were hoping. They don’t get the goals they were looking
for and they’re like why bother giving up all the other stuff I like if I’m still on
my blood pressure medication so you’ve got to take the right approach and there’s there’s
so many ways that people can get confused or lacking a nutrient sometimes they are not
eating enough fats and sometimes they are eating too much fats are afraid of fruit you
know all and then they’re eating more fat as a result and people are so confusing and
so number one they got to find what works for them. That’s absolutely critical but then there’s
a whole other growing reason, growing aspect of this where things are working well for
people but they’re not well educated enough to fend off if you will all the other stuff
bombarding at them, like where do you get enough protein and what about essential fats
you need to have fish right? and vitamin K2 oh you need your bone broth for that cause
if you’re not goanna get it your bone are goanna be weak and you’re goanna get hip
fractures you vegetarians better watch out, and and what else? Oh you got to cook your food for lycopene
and beta carotene you got to you know vegetarians are deficient in vitamin D and that’s true
but just as much as the rest of the population so I mean there is all these different thing
out there, oh iodine you have to do this and go on these crazy crazy mega dose protocol
and I mean there’s just and then people say you better eat fish so anyway there these
whole set of reasons why people not so informed who look at a raw vegan diet and think oh
my gosh that looks too challenging for me and then think Ok on the one hand if it’s
right and they don’t do it they feel like they are doing something wrong and that’s
tough it’s tough for everybody to look in the mirror and acknowledge their own issues
and shortcomings what’s much easier is let’s make it wrong let’s criticize it so B12d essential
fats protein you know all that other stuff K2 ah people it’s just easier to start complaining
about that and putting it out and then people want to get their own attention so they just
repeat the rhetoric and put that out and those of you in earnest who are trying to learn
about raw food nutrition you tune into to YouTube and you see some good stuff from some
of the good You Tubers and you see a lot of nonsense also and it throws you off the path
so proper education will number 1 get you on an approach that works the best for you
and number 2 will give you the confidence to stay there because you will not get thrown
off track by the people who are uneducated yet who have loud voices and a lot of outreach
so the education part is so important we teach a series of classes called the Science of
Raw Food Nutrition it’s a hundred hours’ worth of intensely pack information we could
turn it into 500 hours easily. People are just scribbling notes its super
dense. John: So Dr Rick besides like your hundred
hours of course that I know that people can go to attend actually for a lot of money and
there’s no substitute for going to a 100 hours of education that you packed in even more
information into I know you have you and your wife actually mostly your wife Dr Karen wrote
a book that I would actually encourage you guys to get that I have myself and it’s probably
the number one book I would recommend on a raw food that’s available at this time actually
I haven’t written my book yet but it’s solid so can you tell people more about that because
minimally if you don’t do anything else get their books so you can get a good solid foundation
of how to eat raw food that healthy. Dr Rick: Yea absolutely so first for our classes
you spend a few thousand dollars and you have a lifetime of education so many of our students
tell us our notes are references for them for years and years and years to come and
you think about that compared to being on medication for the rest of your life and dealing
with all the side effects so first of all I think it’s an incredible lifetime investment
and good value however that’s not the right approach for everyone and then so for 15 bucks
on Amazon you can buy Dr Karen book the Raw Food Nutrition handbook now I know there’s
lots of books on raw food and nutrition out there and a lot of times people hear a few
things they repeat rhetoric it’s in their book they put a fancy cover they get a marketing
team they sell a whole bunch of them. I can tell you our book though is based on
our 55 plus years of personal experience tones of education both formal and cool cutting-edge
stuff type of education and and our clinical experience and our research experience it’s
all condensed into a basic yet done very thoroughly to lay the foundation book called the Raw
Food and Nutrition Handbook so for 15 bucks you can get an enormous education about how
to keep on this path long term that way. John: Awesome yea also I’d recommend checking
out Dr Rick and Karen’s YouTube channel I’ll put links down below this video for
that or those links for their videos down below this video also for that also be sure
to subscribe to this channel if you’re not ready. I give some pretty good solid information
most of which Dr Rick would probably agree with maybe not everything. But we agree with like most stuff man. Dr Rick: Just to give you a plug John and
I have been friends since what 1998 or something like that and over the years we were just
on the same page with so many things I’m glad that you are utilizing YouTube to get good
information out there and I would so much love to say everybody on YouTube is giving
good information but I just can’t it’s just not fair from someone who’s been around the
block a few times and ah so keep checking out the videos that’s that’s good stuff. John: Thanks Dr Rick so moving on to number
3 now on how to stay raw long term, what’s that? Dr Rick: So number 1 we got motivation talked
all about health reasons, environment, animals etcetera. Number 2 education you got to know what you’re
doing. You can’t be successful at anything if you
don’t know what you’re doing and number 3 interesting enough is flexibility, because
sometime people hear, they’ll watch YouTube, go to a lecture, read some books and it’s
like the way to do it John: Dogma Dr Rick: This is the way this is it everyone’s
human have to eat the same way and you’ll always find a segment of the population that
that works great for and then you’ll find another segment of the population that that
didn’t work so well for. So if people are convinced there’s only one
way to do it, they do that way and they’re not feeling good and it’s not working for
them well, first of all they might start blaming themselves if they are thoroughly convinced
that’s way to do it oh I must be doing this wrong, there must be something wrong with
me, there must be something I’m missing. And that’s not about health that’s self-defeating
that’s beating yourself up, why should you have a dogmatic system that makes you beat
yourself up? Again that’s not about health or sometimes
they’ll go somewhere else oh my God someone else has the way to do it and it’s a different
way they say opposite thing so they switch over there and then maybe there’s some benefits
to that but then there’s some drawback to that and that, that might not work either
what we have found over the years like myself, my wife, John so many other people we know
who our long-term successful healthy raw food vegans is they are flexible and open-minded
enough and oftentimes even ten twenty thirty years in they’re still learning new things
that are helping them and by trying this trying that understanding this understanding that
making sense out of different things and then doing some personal experimentation sometimes
we can help guide people with lab work with that what works for them and what doesn’t
they find the approach that works for them and they also enjoy doing it they like eating
the food it’s fun and you feel good and you get all the benefits so that flexibility is
just absolutely so key. It doesn’t mean be so flexible that you’re
off the path but it means learn the fundamentals and then find what works for you and you can
enjoy it over the long term just such a critical piece of the puzzle there. John: Yeah I completely agree one of the things
you know that you’ll notice about me and if you watch my videos from I don’t know 6
years back when I started making them I change what I do like, not in any large way I still
eat raw plants you know, fruits and vegetables predominately but I’ve changed things up
a little bit and you can see me in my journey on my YouTube channel changing things up and
I’m highly suspect of people that always keep it the same right cause there in always
new information new data new research studies coming out and just as I learn more and get
more knowledgeable about things in life and I would always encourage you guys to work
on always improving yourselves whether it’s with your diet, your relationships, with growing
your own food ,whatever it is we should always strive to improve and make the world a better
place not only for us but for future generations, so yeah. If something’s is not working change and
modify and be flexible in your approach is the main message. So Dr Rick I know you have a programme coming
up that’s free available for everybody where you are going to have 25 long-term 20-plus
years for the most part raw foodies and people that do a raw plant-based diets successfully
that you guys could all benefit from for free, so tell my viewers about this program and
the summit you have coming up? Dr Rick: Well we have put together a programme
called the Raw For life summit number 1 you can you can have a lot of life and vitality
from eating raw foods and number 2 to keep it up for life so like John said we’ve got
over 25 people who have been successfully and healthfully and enjoyably maintaining
a either high to all raw diet for 18, 25, 30 or more years who have really stood the
test of time and we interview all these people each interviews like 45 minutes to an hour
someone a little bit over and we ask each person what is breakfast lunch and dinner
look like? Why do you do what you do? Is your diet the same today as it was back
when you started? And for most people there’s a certain foundation
but things have changed over time so that flexibility comes in handy. John you mentioned such a good point earlier
with flexibility with anything in life not just what you eat you got to be flexible enough
and change and see what works and what doesn’t. So we find out what they eat, why they eat
it, what gave them incentive in the first place, what kind of education they have and
what kind of flexibility they have? And it’s just so revealing and here’s a perfect
example 29 years in you know doctorate degree lots of education, lots of clinical experience
I learned a lot of new things talking to a lot of these people so it’s called the Raw
for Life summit so I think we’re going to put the link right here put it right there
for you guys, put it right there, there it is and yeah you can hear from all these people
and get their inspiration and again hear from the people who have stood the test of time
who it’s still working for and I’m going to speculate here that you’re probably going
to get some better advice if sticking with this long-term is your goal from listening
to people who have stuck with it long term vs people who are newer. Now we were all new at some point too but
you know when (cross talk: been around the block) when you take the new kids some make
it some don’t. When you take in to account people have been
at it 20 or 30 or more years they’re all in the long term camp, so can’t emphasize
the value of that enough. John: Yeah I mean I definitely recommend once
again I’ll put the link right here below and also there be a link in the description
as well as in the comments so click that to sign up for this free Raw For Life Health
Summit that you can learn and gain from. Now the thing I want to say is that there’s
going to be like 25 different people on the summit that Dr Rick and Dr Karen will be interviewing
and have an open mind, when your listen to you may not agree 100% of everything of any
one person says but they’ll be nuggets right pick out the things that make the most sense
for you and start incorporating those into your life. Dr Rick: Which is the central theme of The
Summit right, that one of the things that all the people do, they just don’t do it one
way we have a variety of approached but we don’t have anyone on there that’s too dogmatic
because the most of the dogmatic people don’t make it over the long term sorry to say, but
you have to be committed. So you’ll see how they find that balance
and you know not everyone agrees with everyone my wife and I don’t agree on everything believe
it or not a husband and wife don’t agree on everything, John and I don’t agree on
everything but we all have a certain foundation and by the way our lead off our lead off speaker
is is John he’s leading off the event cause he’s a 100% raw for a long time lot of (crosstalk
99.9%) people know about him well a lot of 9’s right we’ll cut you a little slack
there well I’m about 90% raw off and that’s what works for me all raw for extended period
but then you know I have some steamed vegetables here and there, so anyway John is our lead
off and it’s just a really great event and again I’ve learned a lot from interviewing
all these people and we’d like you to do the same. John: Awesome so Dr Rick why did you and your
wife Dr Karen decide to put this event on for everybody for free? Dr Rick: Well number 1 we would like to tell
people a little bit more about what we do that we feel like in a lot of ways we’ve been
the best kept secret in raw food nutrition for many years you know we’ve spent a lot
more time educating ourselves then we have marketing ourselves you know most people in
the raw food movement it’s just the opposite they go to a weekend seminar they read a few
books and then they are experts and they spend a lot of money on marketing and they you know
they have their channels they do their blogs and they have a lot of outreach but they know
very little so we been like heavily weighted on the research, the clinical experience,
the teaching, the education the working with people that’s number 1 and number 2 while
we are at it a lot of these summits they just get the people with the biggest list and say
let’s get all these people so we can get the most exposure and although we have some
popular people with big list and we are going to get a lot of good exposure. it was really important to us to maintain
the theme of the summit to just find people who we knew were healthfully and successfully
at this for a long time, to be of the most benefit to all of you so many of these things
you hear the one dogma, you hear the opposite dogma, you leave more confused than you were
before you started. We didn’t want that there’s too much of
that out there and it’s goanna continue, so we really wanted to provide something of
value to really help you keep this up for a lifetime. So you can keep getting all the benefits that
all of us do, that we enjoy so much. It’s such a central theme of our lives for
for good reasons because it enhances our lives and we want that for all of you too. John: Awesome yeah one of the reasons why
I continue to make videos to this day is just to share the knowledge and to help my fellow
man right. I mean this is just good for you, it’s good
for the planet, it’s good for the animals, it’s good for so many different things and
you know I’m glad you guys are watching to this point it is this video this lets me know
that you’re really committed. So I want you click that link right down below
and sign up for the summit that’s coming up really soon don’t miss out on any of
the episode including the first one that I’m in. Aright, Dr Rick so any other comments or things
you like to share with my viewers today? Dr Rick: Find your motivation stack up all
those reasons get some good education we’re not the only ones to do it but you’ll find
some other really awesome educators on the summit and be flexible in your approach see
what works and what doesn’t I’ve got to give a lot of credit to Tony Robbins ultimate
success formula. Number 1 know your outcome yeah you want to
be healthy you want to leave a lighter footprint on the earth etcetera number 2 start taking
action eat more fruits and vegetables and then number 3 this is where most people start
messing up see if it’s working or not and if it is keep it up if it’s not then number
4 change your approach and modify and be flexible and find what does work and you just keep
going through that cycle and you go about it rationally and intelligently you will be
successful and like John touched on earlier whether it’s your diet or anything any other
endeavour in life that’s the way to go about it so. J0hn: Awesome, awesome yeah I agree Dr Rick
and I and Dr Karen went to a Tony Robbins seminar together years ago unleash the power
within… yeah we unleash the fire we did it was great. So if you guys enjoyed this episode with Dr

My Advice to New Vegans

[UltraVid id=138 ]Okay so the question is what advice would you give to someone that is just getting started with all of this with all of this meaning diet or diet and training or what does all of this look like yeah the real challenges that keep coming up for me and most of the people that I talk with or work with it’s not the diet itself it’s how the diet is perceived that’s really the biggest challenge that’s the biggest hurdle to get around we have our we have our own brainwashing there were a lot of times when I started out running when I was doing the running raw project in those first few years where I really doubted that I was getting enough protein I wasn’t sure because I’ve been part of that cultural brainwashing and back when I was an athlete in my late teens I was doing lots of protein supplements and I was doing all kinds of gland products and all kinds of crazy crap and creatine and everything else because I wanted every edge I could take so you know fast forward 15 16 years into the future and part of my brain is saying well can I do it without those things is this diet enough I don’t know am I getting enough protein I am and there’s no evidence to show me the contrary but yet those doubts were still there and they those doubts stayed there for a couple years it’s only maybe the past three or four years that I’m really confident with this diet even though I had the data even though the data was right there I still had doubts well what if it doesn’t work for me what if I’m different somehow so it’s really about overcoming your own cultural brainwashing and then dealing with your friends and family and you know lovers spouses whatever it may be who are gonna have cultural programming as well that you could have to deal with then you’re gonna have to continually answer the question where do you get your protein or do get your FAS and where do you get this and where do you get that and how do you get your calcium and what about your b12 and we’re constantly bombarded with these things if you’re eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and some nuts and seeds you’re getting the most nutrient dense diet on the planet no standard American diet can compete as far as nutrient density goes as far as the wide variety of vitamins minerals and phytonutrients and fibers you can’t compete on those diets but yet the people eating those diets believe that somehow their diet is superior without any evidence to support it but it’s this like cultural virus that everybody has that they’re eating the deficient diet but clearly the vegans and the raw foodist those are the people that are deficient it’s like smokers telling people that they’re deficient in oxygen because they’re breathing clean air it’s like how could you get enough oxygen and breathing clean air you need cigarettes to get oxygen kind of you know what’s going on you know you get all these people that are eating a horrible diet which is heavily supplemented they’re like oh you can’t be vegan because you need b12 and that just shows the veganism doesn’t work well that’s interesting because your milk has vitamin D added your flour products have niacin riboflavin thiamine and reduced iron added to them and on and on and on all of the products that you’re eating are heavily supplemented your diet doesn’t work in fact your diet heavily supplemented still leads to heart disease cancer diabetes and on and on and on so the government tried to fix your diet by adding lots of supplements to it mandating that these foods be supplemented and you’re still falling apart but yet they believe somehow that were the ones that are deficient it just doesn’t make sense but this is what we have to deal with we have to deal with a culture that doesn’t make sense that’s going to alienate us and that’s going to attack us and it’s going to make us question ourselves so if you’re eating a wide variety of foods and a wide variety of flavors and textures you’re going to be okay and maybe you want to take some vitamin b12 maybe you want to take some vitamin D that’s up to you do your research get your blood tested but even so no big deal you’re gonna be healthy it’s really about dealing with the the emotional stuff dealing with the cultural stuff that’s the biggest hurdle so you know my advice is never defend yourself just smile nod you know make a joke about it but don’t defend yourself because you can’t win that conversation because it’s not a rational conversation

Top 7 Reasons People Fail on a Vegan Diet: Plant-based Pitfalls

[UltraVid id=135 ]Hey guys Aaron and dusty here welcome back to eat move rest and Happy New Year yes happy 2018 so with the New Year here a lot of you are probably thinking it might be time to clean up your diet lose a little bit of weight maybe you’re even entertaining the idea of going vegan after all dr. oz did say that it was like the trend of the year yeah so 2018 it’s only building steam we want to share with you guys seven pip pitfalls or seven reasons that people fail out of plant-based or vegan diet yep so let’s get right into it number one people don’t eat enough calories I know that when I started or we started this journey I got rid of meat and dairy and all of a sudden I was just starving I didn’t know what to eat what’s left right so make sure and get your calories number two too much vegan junk food yes there is such a thing if you go to Whole Foods or any grocery store you’re bound to find plenty of processed packaged junk foods labeled vegan and all the sudden you see the halo 4 minutes glowing light and you grab it snatch it up throw it in your cart bring it home prepare it and you maybe don’t feel any better than you did when you ate your regular burger no Aaron will tell you I am a vegan junk food addict I do my best but every once in a while I just have to order that vegan pizza and eat the whole thing and I feel like dying yeah so steer clear of the junk foods and stick to the Whole Foods plant-based foods yeah more on that later number three being unprepared now this is something that we still struggle with nobody’s perfect but being prepared is going to help I know again when we first started we didn’t know what to buy at the grocery store we didn’t know what to prepare at home and basically we were unprepared and then always hungry yeah so has the same goes if you fail to plan you can plan to fail right number four the fourth reason why people fail at a vegan or plant-based lifestyle is criticism yes and criticism can be harsh it can be downright mean we haven’t had to deal with a whole lot of that especially from our online community it’s been overwhelmingly positive things on YouTube but it can also be just joking around and just giving you a hard time which can also be uncomfortable right so my father-in-law Erin’s wonderful father is the biggest jokester in the world and I don’t know how many vegan slang word nicknames that he’s called me and us but hey we have survived and you will too just stand up to that criticism yes stand firm be confident just walk the walk and eventually people will start to ask you questions right okay so number five money people say it’s too expensive to be vegan and that is simply not true we were just at our families for the holidays and somebody was cooking up a big hunk of meat sitting on the counter we looked at the price and it was $50 a $50 piece of meat do you know how many rice and beans we can buy with that and cases of bananas no kidding we buy beans rice lentils potatoes by the bay it’s so cheap they last forever you can do it for six reason why people fail at a vegan or plant-based lifestyle is impatience patience is a virtue my friends yes it can be tempting to want to go cold turkey and switch overnight and think that everything’s just gonna be like all happy sunshine and rainbows but it can actually set you up for failure and you’ll end up reverting back to how you were before yes so it took me at least two years and it was a little bit quicker but yeah we started out with vegetarian we did it for 40 days then we went back and like it was a two-year journey for us and we’ve right here and we’re happy now but be easy on yourself and have patience and we’re still learning new things every single day that the journey continues and you’re okay with that because we feel great and we’re continuing to feel better right so finally number seven the reason people fail is confusion they’re like what I thought this but this guy says that and we’re all just confused what’s right dr. Oz says one thing Oprah says another thing and ritual dr. Gregers say another thing yeah our best advice is to check your facts yeah for example wheel of nutritionfacts.org dr. Michael Greger all of his research is pulled from medical journals that are not backed by industry it was unbiased it’s gonna be clean pure truth okay so to recap the top seven reasons people fail on a vegan diet are number one not enough calories yes number two vegan junk food number three being unprepared yes number four criticism number five money or budgeting number six my biggest one impatience and number seven confusion yes so if you guys like this video you know the drill give us a thumbs up leave us some love down below leave us a comment hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already and follow us on social media yes at Aaron stanczyk at DB stanczyk and click that Bell that’ll make sure that notifications will be turned on yes you’ll get alerted when we put out new videos here because the next video we’re gonna do for you guys will be the top 7 ways to succeed at a vegan or plant-based lifestyle right so stay tuned we’ll give you all the best answers to this videos problems oh yes happy new year okay crazy and how much of that is just like meat that you have to shave off earth not me yeah alright yeah that’s okay that’s right

The Food Matrix – 101 Reasons to Go Vegan

[UltraVid id=129 ]Good evening and thank you for coming my name is James and I’m the humanities you cater for the animal rights foundation of Florida now I’m typically giving this presentation to a high school classroom so my audience is a little different and I say you won’t find out we’ll find out so I pretty much know my audience yeah I can pretty much guarantee that 99% of the kids in the class are eating meat dairy and eggs and there might be one or two kids who are vegetarian but it’s a very rare occasion where you’ll get a kid who is vegan um when I speak to adults it’s a little different you know I don’t quite know my audience as well so I want to get to know you so here’s what I want everybody to do I want everybody to please stand up all right now if you are vegan meaning you choose not be any meat of the animal no flesh of the animal no cows no chickens no pigs no turkey and no fish alright surprise surprise a fish is not a vegetable no dairy no cow’s milk no cow cheese no cow butter no cow ice cream and no eggs please have a seat so if you are vegan please have a seat okay now for the rest of you you’ll have to remain standing for the rest of the presentation everybody everybody have a seat there’s another benefit of talking to high school kids and that’s they’re not afraid to participate in the presentation they’ll say whatever is on their mind whether I like it or not but with adults it’s a little bit harder it’s like pulling teeth now this presentation is designed to be interactive meaning I want you to actually participate I want you to engage and you think about the presentation it’s like a row shark test and I show you a picture and you tell me what you see so the maturity level is the same as high school students it’s a mushroom people all right how many of you have ever seen the movie The Matrix okay so move more than half of us sorry for those who haven’t seen the movie The Matrix there’s a scene the very beginning of the film where the main character is presented with two pills one blue and one red and he has to make a choice if you choose the blue pill he’ll fall asleep and when he wakes up everything will be exactly the way it’s always been if you choose the red pill he’ll finally learn the truth and I’m here today to give you that red pill but let me make this very clear to you I’m not here to tell you what to do not here to tell you how to think how to feel and I’m certainly not here to tell you what to eat I’m simply here to provide you with information now what you do with that information is solely up to you so what does the matrix look like let me show you now despite what you might be thinking these two circles are not equal I repeat these two circles are not equal one is in fact larger than the other what I need you to do is determine which one that is so please raise your hand if you believe the blue circle is larger than the red alright please raise your hand if you believe the red circle is larger than the blue all right very good now before I said anything about these two circles what was your first instinct equal right because they look equal the reason why they look equal is because in fact they are equal these two circles are identical yet I got just about every one of you to raise your hand and say that they’re not so what do we learn but you can be manipulated like that to believe in something that goes against your natural instincts just just imagine just imagine as a child you’re taught that the blue circle is larger than the red if you say it enough times you convince yourself that’s the truth if you’re told the lie enough times it becomes part of your reality and if enough people are taught that lie that the blue circle is larger than the red well now it becomes part of the culture and if that culture then passes that misinformation along to the next generation will now become tradition and what we have to remember is that just because we have a tradition doesn’t mean it’s morally acceptable tradition and morality are not always the same I mean can you think of any traditions that we once had in the United States of America that we no longer have that today we think back and that was immoral slavery right less than 200 years ago and that was a tradition so the traditions we have today doesn’t necessarily mean morally acceptable and as we evolved as a culture so do our traditions now the matrix is a story it’s a story when told enough times to enough people it becomes part of that culture it becomes the tradition and this story is being told over and over every day in fact if you believe the image on the carton is where you’re getting your milk from you’re deceiving yourself this is a fantasy only exist in your head it’s a blue pill fed to you by the industry to get you to buy their product this is the matrix the lie we tell ourselves about where our food is coming from the reality is far more disturbing 90 to 95 percent of the milk the meat and the eggs that we consume in the United States are coming from these conditions this is called factory farming this is what you take thousands of hens pigs and cows you can find them in two warehouses in fact every year in the United States ten billion right ten billion cows pigs and chickens are being slaughtered for food so what that works out to be is that every second in the United States 300 animals are killed just like that so 300 600 900 1200 by the time I’m done talking today there’ll be over a million animals that have been slaughtered and most of us don’t even blink an eye and how is it possible that in the United States of America we can kill we can slaughter 300 animals every second and not question that because of the story we’ve been told the story justifies the action if you say it enough times you actually convince yourself that’s the truth how many of you were taught as a child you need to eat meat to get protein I know I was how many of you were taught you need to drink cow’s milk to get strong bones not dog milk not chimpanzee milk not elephant milk not rhino milk not hippo milk not Tiger milk not lion milk not giraffe milk not elephant milk did I say that already I think you get the point not even our own mother’s milk we need to drink cow’s milk to get strong bones the absurdity of drinking the milk from any other species and any other being besides our own mother when it’s said enough times loses its absurdness so all we’re going to do today is find out if the matrix is telling the truth now the first thing we’ve been taught is that our diet is natural and we eat meat dairy and eggs so therefore it must be natural so let’s find out you have two images on the wall all right and remember the road shock test you have two images on the wall I want you to tell me all the thoughts that come to mind when you see the image on the left and don’t be afraid to scream out nobody’s going to get sent to the principal what do you see fresh young sweet right if I came into the room with a basket of strawberries that looked just like that organic and I put him on the chair right here now what would be your thoughts okay the same thoughts what would you think if one of us got up and started chewing on the strawberries maybe we’d want to join it if I come into the room with the baskets strawberries how many of your mouth starts to salivate your mouth starts the water I take a strawberry and I put it under your nose what do you smell if I take a knife and I slice that strawberry in half and put that under your nose now what do you smell those how all the sensations remain the same you see a strawberry that looks like a strawberry you smell a strawberry and it smells like a strawberry and you take a bite out of a strawberry and surprise surprise it tastes like a strawberry exactly it’s a strawberry but what thoughts come to mind when you see the image on the right cute it’s kind of a rigged audience so you’re in a vegan restaurant but you know when I go to a classroom you know half the response you’ll get half the kids who see all cute animal pig Wilbert babe so half the class will see an animal and the other half the class will see bacon sausage ham pigs feet pork and hotdogs they’ll see a food it’s one of the other you either seeing an animal or you’re seeing food now what would happen if I took one of the pigs living brought them into the room right here and put them put them right in front of you does that change it now what do we see and I mean what would we think if one of if one of us got up and starts chewing on the pig not very normal if I come into the room with a pig under my arm how many of your mouth starts to salivate right I take a pig and I put it into your nose what do you smell smell Pig just like if it took a dog and put on your nose smell dog a cat you smell cat I took a knife and I sliced that pig in half and put that under your nose now what do you smell it’s not a stench of death you smell rotting corpse bacteria decomposing flesh you see there’s a process involved and I’m here today to show you that process of how you convert this animal into this product why should it why should it be kept a secret why should we not know what we’re participating in and what we’re putting in our now let’s make the situation slightly more realistic if I were to put a pig on this side of the room living in a butcher’s knife on side on side of that room I mean how many people would be willing to pick up the knife and take the life of that animal it’s very rare right and if somebody did that that’s all right but how many people in this room would try to stop that person from doing that right would we try that of course that’s compassion man is the greatest quality of the human race there’s no other species on this planet that has that level of compassion to extend to all living beings but if you would stop somebody from killing a pig in front of you and then go home and have this for breakfast let’s call hypocrisy just because it comes with a nice neat package all dressed up in your supermarket just because you didn’t take the knife and shove it through their jugular just because you can get blood on your clothes and just because you didn’t hear their screams doesn’t mean you didn’t participate in the killing every time we buy this product we are supporting somebody else doing what we ourselves wouldn’t want to do when we ourselves wouldn’t want to see and what we ourselves wouldn’t want to hear now if you still see bacon sauce lehand when I bring a pig into the room what happens when I change it to one sec so so like not there we go all right all right it’s the common response now I’ve never heard anybody say YUM nobody ever sees dog feed hotdogs so why not why don’t we see a food but we’ve we’ve been accustomed to view this animal as our pet I mean how many of you have a dog or a cat right how many of you have a pig not so much all right so but there are other cultures there are other cultures again the cultural story for us is this is your pet in another culture certain parts of the world they eat cats and dogs that’s their culture that’s their story they’ve been told and how do you feel about that a lot of people think it’s disgusting right I imagine every one of you probably thinks it’s disgusting your dog why would it be disgusting to eat this animal and not disgusting to eat this animal why would it be wrong to eat this animal and right to eat this animal and most importantly why would it be wrong to kill this animal and right to kill this animal it’s culture it’s the story it’s the matrix that we’ve been told one culture sees this as a pet this is a food and though the culture might see this as a pet and this is a food another culture might see in both is food certain parts of India the cow is sacred they would never think about eating a cow in certain parts of India is that wrong is that unnatural that’s just the story they’ve been told but culture is just a story that’s all it is it’s just make-believe when I’m concerned with is what is natural to the human species because every culture has a different story but you take somebody from Asia Africa South America North America Europe and we’re all the same species we’re all human beings so let’s take a three Road from any country in the world and you put that three out in a room and you line up five animals in front of that three-year-old a pig a dog a cow a cat and a chicken you think the thrill is going to know which one to eat and which one to pet what’s the three are most likely going to do or try to do play with them all it’s going to try to play with them all the three oh it has to be taught no no no no don’t play with it eat him play with him pet him that’s what we were taught we didn’t choose our diet our diet is a learned behavior we were raised to perceive this animal as your pet and this animal is your food but that’s not the natural perception the natural is that there all of our our companions so our parents chose our diet based upon the cultural story and if you have children you base their diet on the cultural story being told which is the same story now let me give you another example if you take a baby and you put a baby in a crib and you put on the light out of the right-side of baby chick and on the left side an apple which one do you think the baby is going to try to play with and which one you think the baby is going to try to eat most likely I put the inanimate object in this case the Apple in his or her mouth and if the baby you know most likely will be piqued by the interest of the thing moving in this case the thing being actually a living being in the chick now if the baby tries to eat the chick what’s the chicken ER they’re just going to run away or peck at him now if you walked into a room with the baby in the crib playing with an apple and chewing on the head of a live chick what do you think that baby like demon baby you’re gonna let me allow that you allow that demon baby to play with your baby set up a playdate probably not so if it’s not alright for a baby to cause harm to an animal even when they don’t know any better why is it become more acceptable as we get older when we do know the difference between an apple and a baby chick the question is do we find it acceptable to cause harm to an animal let’s find out if you don’t walk outside right now and you saw somebody taking a baseball bat to a a dog’s head what would you do you you take action at the very least you’d call the police because you recognize that as a violation of this animal’s right to be free from harm we’re all given that right at birth every animal on this planet whether it’s a mammal whether it’s an amphibian whether it’s a bird a reptile of fish and insect we’re all Earthlings human beings as well we are all earthlings and what do all Earthlings have in common two things we all want to live we all desire to live that is what it creates the Equality in all of us we all want to live and the second thing is we all avoid pain those two things make us equal from the largest land animal on earth the elephant to the smallest the insect the and everything in between from the dog the pig to the human being we all desire to live and we all avoid pain now if you were to walk outside right now and you saw somebody taking a baseball bat to a pig’s head with your emotional response not be the exact same thing of course because the question for you is what’s the difference what’s the difference between the two right is there a difference you might think one is cuter than the other but that says more about you than anything about these two animals a lot of kids will say well the nose looks different I say they go but they both got a nose to smell some kids will say well he’s got hooves and he’s got paws I say that both got feet to walk and run some kids say well his ears are going up and here’s the ears of flappy they’ve both got two ears to hear they both got two eyes to see they’ve both got a heart to beat and a mind to think and the reason why we would take action for both of them is because we recognize the equality between them and not the difference any difference is insignificant the similarities though are striking we know they’re equal yet every time we sit down for a meal we create that separation we create that inequality it’s just like we knew the two circles where you go red and blue but all it takes is somebody to tell you a story now what we most importantly recognize is that all animals have feelings but how do we know and how do we really know how do we even know that humans are feelings well I mean love these feelings what’s most important to you happiness right how do you know if somebody’s happy if I said to you right now is the happiest moment in my life when you believe me hopefully not no offense so how are you going to tell somebody’s happy they’re smiling they’re laugh and I can take somebody in in this room who doesn’t speak your language but you can tell how they’re they’re feeling by their expressions the sounds doesn’t have to do with a language though what about other animals will they wag their tail they bark they jump up and down they play with each other they lick so all these are signs of how they feel what about pain though if I said to you right now my right hand is killing me would you believe me having given you any silent it might though it might be killing me there’s only one person in this room who knows it’s actually killing me that’s me of course I say well let’s say I was to trip over my feet here and now my head against the side of this table start bleeding profusely out of my head and I’m screaming on the ground when you believe them in pain of course I’m showing the signs here’s a test you take your hand you put over a flame what happens burns right what’s your reaction pull back and scream you take a dog’s paw put it over a flame what’s his reaction same thing pull back and scream you take a pig’s leg put it over a flame same reaction you take a dog a pig a cow a chicken a goat a doc a horse a rat a mouse any animal that’s living put a body part of the flame they all have the same reaction you take a fish out of water and what’s their reaction flop it around why I can’t breathe you want to know what it feels like to be a fish out of water have you have your loved one put your put your head under water and not let go I really wouldn’t your loved one know they’re doing that that’s what it feels like of course fish have feelings they’re not they’re not vegetables if you take a vegetable you take a plant you take a strawberry and you put it over a flame and what happens else doesn’t have feet to run away doesn’t have a mouth to scream and nose to smell eyes to see ears to hear a heart to beat and a mind to think and a lot of kids will like to give this one before you say well plants have feelings don’t have a nervous system they don’t have a nervous system without a nervous system they can’t feel pain and happiness the way that animals and humans can so the question is when did we learn this when did we learn that animals have feelings hopefully this isn’t the first day that you learn this right when you younger right and how do you learn it maybe you had a cat or dog all you have to do is go outside and just experience any of the animals outside and they run from you it means they’re scared if they come up to you probably have food or something they want it so we understand this through the experiences we have in fact think about the books that were read to you as a child songs you listen to and how about the movies now think about the movies we show to our kids what all these movies have in common were they about what kind of animals farmed animals even fish are being farmed you have pigs chickens cows and fish these are all the animals we eat what’s the common theme in these movies they’re running feathers being saved no animal wants to die no animal wants to be dinner on your plate you know we root for these animals you take even the biggest pork eater in the world he’s he’s ruining for Wilbert nobody wants to see well been made into bacon at the end of that film chicken run you know we root for the chickens now I guarantee there are thousand people’s you know watching chicken run go chickens go well you need a KFC bucket of chicken wings because I’m not making that connection babe how many kids watch the movie babe fall in love with babe and then go home and a fed babe unknowingly by their parents so we’re teaching kids to love these animals but eat them too and this is the closest thing you’ll come to see their reality in the matrix in this story we’ve told ourselves and most of the times and unfortunately the closest thing will come to is in cartoon form in ways it by Pixar and Disney nonetheless but today we step outside the matrix and generally speaking when I go into a high school classroom I shall meet your meet if you haven’t seen this video if you still are eating meat dairy eggs fish take a look at a meat door again be 18 org and you can see the conditions that these animals live in now I’m not going to show you that it’s it’s a every time I show two adults they just leave he’ll come back so I’m going to show you a three-minute video again by the the same people that put on the first video Farm Sanctuary it’s three minutes if you don’t want to watch it you don’t have to but this is where 90 to 95% of the meat dairy and eggs and we’re consuming the United States are coming from and any really if you have a problem watching it but you don’t have a problem eating it you know why the disconnect there but this isn’t just about animal rights this is also a health issue and that’s the second part of the presentation we’ll we’ll talk about after the video the question is do these animals look healthy to the conditions they’re living in look healthy because if the animals don’t look healthy to you why would you want to put a sick animal into your body one last thing before I show the video a lot of people said what about what about you know milk that doesn’t seem to be any harm in raising cows for milk notice the very first scene in this video of the dairy cows and you’re going to actually see a cow giving birth and notice what happens to her calf and notice her response if I could talk to animals that are being confined in and abused now in factory farms I would say I’m sorry for what we’re doing to you I wish it wasn’t this way and I’m doing everything I know to stop it and hopefully we will be able to stop it there’s not really a whole lot of good you can say I mean you just gotta just got a hope that it can stop and hope that people will recognize the harm we’re causing and we’ll choose a different way meat milk and eggs come from real animals they don’t just come from the grocery store and these animals desire to live and they want to be free of pain and suffering and fear and on today’s farms these animals only no fear in pain at human hands they never know human kindness they never know mercy and when people buy these products they are unwittingly supporting that type of cruelty in that type of callousness the workers they have to lose part of their heart you know they have to lose they have to shut their eyes to certain aspects of what they’re doing can you imagine what it would be like to cut the throats of animals for eight hours a day it’s a bloody violent job and nobody should have to do it I don’t know what it means that you know we can participate in such cruelty without paying attention to it without caring about it without wanting to do different citizens want to assume that animals will be treated humanely that there are laws on the books to prevent cruelty and people are usually surprised to learn there aren’t if people looked at what was happening they’d be appalled most people would not support the type of abuse that has become common on factory farms the common response is why is this happening there’s a very simple explanation for why it why it does happen if you were to walk outside right now if you walk down us one and walk further down let’s say you came to a restaurant that just opened up right they were serving cats and dogs that was their main item on the menu how many of you would be out there right now protesting guarantee before the day would be over you would have that place shut down right walk down the street few blocks down you’ll come to a steak house I don’t see anybody protesting I don’t see that place being shut down why because because we’ve been taught to perceive this animal to be different from this animal and veganism is simply changing your perception that’s it that’s all it is you just change your perception we don’t have to participate in this this is not necessary a lot of people will say to me what about you know if we just created better conditions what I’m saying to you is it’s not necessary to kill an animal you don’t have to kill animals we don’t have to drink their milk enough to eat their eggs it’s just not necessary I mean people talk about humane slaughter how do you how do you slaughter something humanely and then said like when you rub their belly give them some milk and cookies and you chop their head off if I did that to one of you would everybody like well at least he died humanely he can’t do anything violent he mainly I mean if I were to actually mainly rob you humanely rape you what is what is humane theft look like is that where I come up to you and say need you to do me a favor I need you to come up here and take your wallet put it on the table right here take all the credit cards cash everything put it on the table right there pretty please with a cherry on top would that be humane theft we would everybody be like hey if I’m going to get robbed I want him to do it he’s pretty nice about it of course nobody wants to be robbed nobody wants to be killed nobody wants to be raped it’s not necessary to think about it this way how many of you do not do not own a fur coat raise your head if you don’t don’t own a fur coat yeah so I thought why why don’t you in fur coat because it’s cruel and unnecessary because it’s cruel and unnecessary what about if I said to you know what we’re going to take some mix sorry we’re gonna raise them for you no fur coat we’re going to make we’re gonna raise them but we’re gonna we’re gonna you know give them a lot of room we’re going to cage free free range organic food they’re going to do they’re going to live like kings and queens until we kill them of course you know after after a few few weeks a few months you know they won’t live to their natural age but we’re going to create humane fur would that be acceptable when you go out and buy a fur coat no because it’s not necessary a fur coat is not necessary especially here in Florida but it’s not necessary anywhere you don’t need a fur coat to survive you don’t need the animals to survive it’s not necessary it’s just sugar coating something humane slaughter so let’s take a look at what we are participating in this is a battery cage all right literally the size of a milk crate just like this you take four to six hands you put them in a crate this size and you burn their beaks off why because in these conditions they become aggressive you know be like if I took everybody in the first and second row put you in that corner and sealed it off kept you there for you know 48 hours straight guarantee you’re not going to remain friends for that long you want more space so they’re denied the ability to do what’s natural to them spread their wings forage so how does the under seat industry solve this problem cage free free range and that sounds pretty good who in this room doesn’t want to live free right this is a cage free farm in Virginia it’s just a label it’s just the label it makes us feel better about what we’re participating in but it means absolutely nothing to the animal cage free simply means you can take five hundred hens and put them in this room according to the industry that is cage free question is what is your definition of freedom does this apply now even on the you know old MacDonald’s farm that we all have stuck in our head even if you find that magical farm and good luck finding it doesn’t matter because all male chicks born in the egg industry thrown out literally why seems kind of wasteful why threw out the male chicks they don’t fit into the equation they’ll serve any purpose to the industry so we cage them we D beat them we still catch them call call it freedom though we can still debeak them in these conditions and we throw out all the mail tricks whether it’s cage free free range organic what’s in the wrong way all so that we could have this well might as well get to know what it is was an egg a lot of people think it’s a baby chick it’s not a baby chick a lot of people think it’s a fetus it’s not a fetus not an embryo just good I mean I don’t know why anybody want to eat a fetus or an embryo in the first place so what is it well it’s an unfertilized egg that doesn’t sound that bad at all all right well once a month that every woman in this room or maybe not everyone in this room sheds or at some point sheds an unfertilized egg what is that called congratulations meeting a hen period it’s the menstruation cycle discharge of a hen I’m not gonna eat a woman’s period just like why should I have a hen period there’s no need to eat any period from any living being it’s disgusting and you know we should call it what it is I mean if we were just you know at the when we were young when we were kids and you know our parents at hey you want some scrambled hen periods for breakfast then I’ll pass you know it’s like honey what is honey yeah it’s vomit it’s regurgitate throw up they throw up for themselves they take the nectar they digest it and they throw up it’s for their own cells they’re not producing it for us we call it honey because who in their right mind we want to buy a product called bee vomit and you know you put vomit next to any any product in the supermarket I guarantee it’s not going to sell let’s take a business aspect to realize that all right what about milk well even your happy cows in California hooked up the machines this is this is the way it is all right now when does a cow start producing milk during during pregnancy starts lactating during pregnancy right that’s why I’ve been to a lot of schools and I’ll get even high school teachers who will say huh I didn’t know that I just thought there was this magical cow that just produced milk okay all ho mammals produce milk when they’re pregnant and how does she become pregnant ah like we like to think they get to have sex right at the very least they get the pleasure of sex but there’s no sex in the farm the farmer is not going to wait for a cow on a bull to get it on he’s not going to set the mood like some candles put on Barry White is the business he’s running a business you know and the business is not in the welfare of the animals and producing a profit so how do you get a cow pregnant without a bull artificially inseminate them if you know artificially inseminate a woman without a consent won’t that be called I am NOT saying a woman is a cow but I am saying rape is rape I mean just look up the definition of rape exert in your power over another sexually so what’s your definition of another does that only apply to women how about men how about other beings well now she’s pregnant she gives birth what happens to her baby all male calves born in the dairy industry like the if you were here in the beginning the saving Billy all male calves born in the dairy industry are immediately taken away from their mother chained by the neck to a crate deprived of the mother’s milk fed an inefficient diet so that the body become anemic so lack of iron they will never be able to turn around will never see the light of day every glass of milk supports this industry and some people say well veal is the cruelest industry or foie-gras where they shove a pipe down a duck’s throat cruelest industry how do you how do you put pain in some kind of like okay well it’s pretty bad right here but it’s not so bad here pain is pain suffering is suffering don’t categorize it this is all suffering for these animals why do they do that to the male calves just like the male chicks they don’t fit into the equation they don’t produce the milk if you’re drinking cow’s milk the only reason is because a calf chained to a box isn’t now what about the female calves they too will be taken away from the mother why why would why would the female calf that will grow up to be like her mother which is a constant of impregnation birth and milking why would she be taken away from the mother right and we want the milk how do you think it makes a cow feel to have her baby to run away from her anybody was a parent how would you feel if you had your baby to run away from you all milk whether it’s organic meaning they don’t put in you know the hormones and the pesticides doesn’t matter all milk is stress milk it’s not something you pasteurize out of the milk it’s part of it it’s part of the it’s like it’s part of the meat part of the part of the cheese it’s part of what you’re drinking it’s stress now biologically speaking who was a cow producing milk for biologically speaking the baby not for us just like you know when your mom was pregnant with you who she producing milk for it was for you it wasn’t your daddy it wasn’t the neighbor it wasn’t the dog or the cat it was for you all mammals produce milk for their young where do all these animals get their milk from when do they stop consuming milk we’re the only species on this planet to take the milk from another animal and we’re their only species on this planet to continue drinking milk after infancy if you really don’t think it’s that weird then people like people say well you don’t you don’t eat cheese she’s just spoiled milk you don’t need you don’t need cheese you don’t drink cow’s milk that’s that’s extreme that’s crazy is it really that extreme to not take the milk from another animal I mean and if you don’t think it’s that extreme if I brought a pregnant woman into the room right now how many of you would want to drink your milk you’re not you’re not you’re not a baby it is extreme now if cow’s milk is meant for a calf if cow’s milk is biologically meant for a calf why would it be necessary for humans to drink it’s not cow’s milk is no more necessary than drinking dog milk chip milk pig milk or elephant milk the only milk you need was from your mother when you were a baby you’re not a baby anymore you’re not a cow you’re not a calf well what about if I said to you you know you’re walking in Publix Whole Foods winn-dixie maybe we’re in Dixie more likely and you come across not cow milk but chimpanzee milk that’s that’s why I said winn-dixie fentanyl fancy travellingtans I just I don’t I can’t picture well I don’t know maybe whole food but um alright so chimpanzee milk right how many of you would buy it probably not that’s disgusting why would it be disgusting to take the milk from one animal but not the disgusting to take the milk from another animal in fact if you’re drinking cow’s milk and you find chimpanzee no guide say make the switch it makes more sense why would it make more sense to take the milk of a chimpanzee hey look if you’re going to take the milk from any animal wouldn’t you want to take the milk from an animal that shares 98% of our DNA 99% I mean doesn’t that seem to be the logical conclusion I choose you that would seem the logical conclusion what about your dog if your dog was pregnant right now and i said i’ll pasteurize your dog’s milk but you want to drink it that’s disgusting that’s absurd it is disgusting and absurd no more disgusting absurd than drinking cow’s milk though in fact if you have a dog it actually makes more sense to drink dog milk the cow milk why is that well how many of you have a large dog okay how much does your dog weigh 110 Wow okay no doubt we’re gonna dog there we go all right 110 pounds that’s pretty close to the human weight right under 10 pounds that seems to make sense this animal weighs 2,000 pounds why put a product meant for a 2000 pound animal into this and a baby doesn’t even know why all right a baby on average weighs 7 pounds at birth I really don’t know where I’m supposed to be pointing this it’s like a magical wand there we go um a calf weighs 90 pounds at birth at birth 90 pounds baby 7 pounds calf 90 pounds the calf will grow to 500 pounds in under a year in 9 months 410 pounds in under a year what makes them grow so large so fast the milk but of course they’re not getting the milk and if it’s not organic what are they getting hormones they’re getting steroids again that’s not something you pasteurize out of the milk and how do you keep animals healthy in these conditions you pump them up with antibiotics 70 percent of the antibiotics produced in the United States are fed to farm animals that’s not good that is not good you know you wonder why so many people are dying in the hospitals they get some infection and they take these antibiotics and they don’t work anymore so how do we how do we justify how do we actually justify putting a product meant for a 2000 pound animal they grow to 2,000 pounds in two years into this well the story once again the story justifies the action say it enough times you convince yourself it’s the truth every story has an author who is the author of this story right and what is the ultimate goal of the dairy industry I mean why would the dairy be in the dairy industry be some holier than thou company I mean if I said to you cigarettes it does a body good you probably say I work for the cigarette company right we none of us would believe that but I believe this and if you believe that milk does a body good why would 75 percent of the human population be lactose intolerant do you know that means that means three out of every four people in this planet when they drink milk they suffer one of these symptoms diarrhea stomach ache gassiness bloated ear infection excess mucus and that’s normal if you suffer from any of these symptoms stop drinking cow’s milk your body’s trying to talk to you your body’s saying look I can’t do it anymore stop listen to your body your body knows best of course the dairy industry will come up with a new product called what lactate they just they just they just put they put the enzyme you see the reason why most people are lactose intolerant is because all mammals and human beings are mammals have an enzyme known as lactase put an A right there that enzyme breaks down the sugar known as lactose as we mature we lose that enzyme so it’s normal to be lactose intolerant but of course the dairy industry starts injecting the enzyme into it that’s not normal that’s not natural and again you’re going against what your body is telling you you know the dairy industry says listen to us we know better than your body they don’t your body knows best you are your best doctor but it must be good for kids though right I mean cuz every school I’ve been into elementary middle and high school is all one product being served what product is that no but what’s the number one cause of food allergies among and children everyone take a wild guess no alright so if most people on this planet can’t consume milk and most people most children and infants are if they have an allergy it’s it’s from milk cows milk and not not peanuts but cow’s milk why again are we drinking this what what have we been told drink milk gets strong bones does a body good what does about it good calcium does a body good the question is is this the best source of calcium let’s find out countries that consume the most milk what countries drink the most milk I go into classrooms and you get kids in like Florida all right Norway would be on this list as well what is osteoporosis it’s a loss of bone density it’s literally weak bones remember you’ve been taught drink cow’s milk get strong bones what countries have the highest rate of osteoporosis all right well neither is just a random coincidence or there’s more to it the more to it is this any product that comes from an animal has animal protein that makes sense animal product animal protein well that animal protein you knows protein is the amino acids the building blocks of protein those amino acids which are good unfortunately though they’re high in sulfur so you want amino acids but the problem with animal protein is that those amino acids are high in sulfur when you put that in your body your body becomes acidic you’re making your body acidic and your body’s not meant to be acidic it’s meant to be alkaline right the pH balance is going lower than what it should be so how does your body compensate well they have to neutralize the acidity so what do they do they start releasing calcium from the bones so the more cow’s milk you drink according to these statistics the weaker your bones can actually become the more animal protein you eat the weaker your bones can actually become in fact if you look at countries in Africa and Asia they don’t suffer from very high rates of osteoporosis they also don’t drink very much cow’s milk if none at all and they also don’t eat as much animal protein now kids will say yeah but wait a second what do I put on my cereal table himself right it’s because this information isn’t it’s out there but people aren’t being taught it and this is you know this is basically the alternative perspective and you know you can do your own research and find out if what I’m saying is valid or not but I mean you can go with these alternative milks and a lot of people out fake meats and fake milks no they’re not fake they’re real all right these are real products and they come from plants you have the soy milk the almond milk rice milk coconut milk oat milk you can do hemp milk high in protein so these are alternatives that you can do I know you’ve all heard of a taste test right let’s do a health test all right so here we have the milk that comes from an animal and here we have the milk that comes from a plant a soybean all right there is a hundred and fifty milligrams of calcium per half a glass in your cow’s milk how many do you think is in your soy milk it’s the same 150 it’s exact same and a half glass all right so what’s the difference well this comes from an animal and once again an animal protein can leach calcium out of the bones and all animal products meat dairy eggs fish is high in cholesterol it has cholesterol and your body naturally makes cholesterol you don’t need to put any more Klesko in your body so this has cholesterol this does it all plant products don’t have any cholesterol and all plant products everything you see up here of everything you see over there on the table fruits vegetables rice beans has fiber has fiber so plants have fiber in your cholesterol animal products no fiber and high in cholesterol so let again let’s do a health test high in cholesterol no fiber high in fiber no cholesterol which one do you think is the safer choice I rest my case all right but you don’t have to do this I mean human beings don’t really need to drink anything besides water and that’s really all we need to be drinking and you can have your orange juice and your apple juice but we just need water now again this is for this cereal but you can get all your calcium from plants I mean you think about what is the largest and strongest land animal on earth an elephant weighs 10,000 pounds you know what is diet consists of right that’s it no if he’s eating spinach but it’s his plants it’s plants you’re gonna tell now ephant daddy you know his bones look a little weak he needs to be drinking the milk of a cow you get all your calcium from this now a lot of people say to me ah man but you know what I get it but then I I love my cheese I can’t give up cheese look I tell people this if you’re going to give up any product give up dairy there is the worst I mean the greatest trick ever pulled was convincing people they need to drink milk dairy is the worst in terms of the cruelty inflicted upon the animals they suffer for a longer period of time and it’s just completely unnatural and unhealthy is unhealthy and there’s a reason why people love their cheese and their milk it’s meant to be addictive I mean just think about you know it might be hard I can’t remember but you know when we were younger most likely we were nursing from our mother right from her milk it has to be addictive the child wants that has to want to have more why because this is the greatest growth spurt in their life this is the greatest growth spurt that you ever had when you were baby drinking your mother’s milk same for all their animals and as we get older our parents including the animal parents wean their children off of it so you’re supposed to you’re supposed to desire it you’re supposed to want it and then you get weaned off of it they’re selling a product it’s addictive it’s addictive it has a chemical called casein morphine when you digest it that chemical is released okay so morphine morphine it makes you giddy it makes you want more it makes your brain think eat more eat more your body is saying I can’t I can’t digest it properly so you are addicted the first step to what a recovery is to acknowledge it 68% of all disease in the United States are diary related is a government statistic what that means is that you know especially when I talk to a high school class where my audience is you know 99 percent eating meat dairy and eggs if you don’t change your food choices you might become part of the statistic I mean it’s what three out of every five people this is a government statistic in fact what are the leading causes of death in the United States what are the top three cancer heart disease strokes diabetes number six all right every forty seconds somebody suffers a stroke in the United States that’s the American Stroke Association the American Heart Association says that every 24 seconds somebody suffers a heart attack in the United States and the Institute for cancer research says that every day 3400 people in the United States are diagnosed with cancer at 3,400 a new people how many people in this room know somebody or knew somebody who has or had cancer raise your hand take a look around shoot this is know we find it a little disturbing I mean we might be living longer but we’re living longer with diseases that haven’t been around that that that they’re more rampant than they ever have been in fact I’ve been reading that they say that the children today the young generation today will die at a younger age than their parents meaning that you know if your parents live in 275 they might die at 70 and we’re just going down how is that possible in fact is the 68% coming from the image on the right or the left I mean you ever heard of somebody suffering a heart attack because ate too many fruits and vegetables it’s not heard of a key to a healthy diet is a variety of foods in a variety of colors how much variety do you really sit in fact why why is this causing most of the death and disease because despite what we’ve been told despite what we’ve been taught we look nothing like omnivores biologically speaking we don’t look anything like carnivores we look identical biologically speaking to our brother from another mother we look like gorillas we look like the great apes we look like the horses the cows the giraffes the elephants the Zebras how so our teeth not my teeth with canines I love what people say what about our canines really you really think they’re very shot I mean if I if we had like shot canines like our cats and dogs and if you really think you have canine teeth or Schaaf take a look at your cat or dog I mean would we be using knives and forks if we had these right we have more teeth why we chew our food you know tonight when you’re feeding your cat or dog notice what they do Limited chewing mostly swallowing our jaw goes like this we grind our food their jaw opens up wide in fact if you want to know what humane slaughter looks like here it is look at the animal kingdom the fastest land animal is the cheetah go 70 miles per hour now a tiger can go about I think it’s about 3540 miles per hour is pretty quick now you have the deer the antelope the gazelle not as fast right so you have carnivores tiger cheetah Jaguar and then you have the deer antelope and the gazelle so herbivores carnivores now the carnivores are quicker but what’s what’s the difference here we got on the right side all right I guess it would be your left side the carnivores are all the track and field stars quick sprint add a breath they don’t have very much endurance on the left side or again the right side for you this would be the herbivores which don’t have as much speed but have more endurance endurance they are the cross-country runners so what we like to assume or maybe not we don’t like to assume but logic would say okay that the faster animal would always get his prey but that’s not the case it’s not the case because you have track and field versus cross-country so that means that the tiger is only successful in the hunt 20% of the time that means eight out of every ten deer will escape the slaughter so what kind of deer will the tiger be able to capture the sick the weak the injured the lost the old the young this animal weeds out the weak we’re not doing anything like that in fact if we were meant to be on top of the food chain don’t you think we would have some claws to rip through flesh and if I brought a pig into the room and asked you to kill the pig with your claws pig would probably enjoy it more than anything else and this is perhaps most important your intestines and cymbal with my representative small intestines large intestines also known as the colon small and large now your intestines combine large and small make up 10 times your body size your body being your mouth to your anus which is about 3 feet and then by that by 10 and you have 30 feet of intestines in your stomach and it’s you know from this wall through that door 30 feet of intestines in your stomach carnivores omnivores it’s about 3 to 6 times their body length so let’s say that Simba it’d be about you know anywhere from 15 to 20 feet 30 feet 15 feet whose food gets traveled out quicker Simba’s which is good because you can call it bacon as much as you want but once it’s in your body it’s no longer bacon it’s decomposing flesh it’s bacteria and it builds up and they have by the way ten times the amount of hydrochloric acid to break it down so we don’t even have the pH balance of the enzymes that break it down properly so what happens it leads to clogged arteries which leads to heart disease heart attack strokes diabetes high blood pressure high cholesterol and obesity you ever heard of a tiger suffering from high blood pressure high cholesterol strokes obesity you know why these animals don’t suffer from these diseases because they eat what’s natural to their Anatomy when it comes to diet we have the dumbest species on this planet one of these two things have in common mercury in fact there’s a warning label there’s a warning label on fish I don’t know if you ever seen it you know what it says certain people should consume it men and women pregnant women all right hopefully it’s not pregnant man all right pregnant nursing women women who may become pregnant young children should not the following fish including tuna because nearly all fish and seafood contain some amount of mercury chemicals known to cause cancer birth defects and reproductive harm what else does the government tell women not to consume when they’re pregnant alcohol cigarettes drugs so basically government say hey look if you think about becoming pregnant lay off the drugs for a little bit and stop eating fish if we can do that much harm to a woman why would anybody want to consume it and I mean do I really need to you know say at this point do any one of us want to touch any food that comes from the seat mmm all you gotta do is turn on the news open up a newspaper what do you see oil spill why why would you want to put this I mean here’s how it works you take you take a small fish in the Gulf right now right very very small fish that small fish is inevitably going to swallow some oil it’s going to swim further out maybe miles away from from the spill and we’ll get by a larger fish and then that larger fish is now contaminated and will swim out even further and that larger fish will then get eaten by even a larger fish now that even larger fish is contaminated with oil and then we catch that even larger fish and then we eat it cooking the animal is not going to get rid of the oil it becomes part of the meat so why do we consume it though why do we consume you know this this this flesh of an animal what you’ve been told you need to eat meat to get protein protein all right but how many grams of protein are we supposed to get anybody know okay in terms of grams per day it’d be about World Health Organization says forty to fifty about that forty would be for the average female don’t man would be for the average male don’t but it’s funny how we don’t tell that to kids I mean I only learned this recently myself too I mean you know going through my whole life and never really bothering to find out and nobody ever bothered to tell me it’s like you know saying here have the keys to my car go you know pick up some stuff from me go get my groceries but I didn’t teach you how to drive the car teaching kids you gotta eat it but not teaching him how or how much now again let me show you how easy it is to get protein all right especially here in the United States all right your standard American diet for breakfast you got your bacon you got your cow’s milk and you got your hen periods all right how many slices how many slices of bacon what you want now I know you might not eat bacon now but how many slices do you remember as a kid maybe maybe two okay each slice has 5 grams two times five all right how many eggs would you want to each egg has six grams so what do we got twelve plus ten 22 how many glass of milk one glass each glass is eight grams so you are at what 30 you’re not even done with breakfast that’s not including the toast with cow butter you might put on it so you’re not even done with breakfast and you’re almost at the limit the average American does not need to worry about getting enough protein they need to worry about getting too much protein that’s why the United States has the highest rates of obesity in the entire world all right I mean people all the time say change well you don’t need me where do you get your protein from like all of a sudden like holy like it’s all wasn’t dawned on me like I have been without protein for the last eight years go to McDonald’s get a Big Mac huh like I’m about to fall down or something or pass out have you ever heard of somebody in the United States suffering from a lack of protein and going to the hospital it’s unheard of yeah it’s funny even dealing with kids you know I have a kid say you know I tried to go vegan for a day and I got really sick so what it’s like it’s like it’s like you know like people they all I know somebody who was vegan it was sick really I know tons of meat eaters were sick I mean like yeah you can be an unhealthy vegan what I’m telling you is it doesn’t matter if you’re eating meat dairy eggs fish or you’re eating a plant-based that you should know what you’re putting in your body you should know how how many grams of protein you’re getting you knows you know the amount of iron calcium that you’re getting and by the way people say omega-3 from fish you can get that from you know the seeds the nuts you can get that from other things flax seeds is a very good example think about this these are the largest and strongest land animals on earth what is their diet consists of plants you’re in good company if you’re only in plants and what’s full what’s so ironic about this is that the large and strongest land animals not only do they not just just eat a plant-based diet they also live the longest I mean this animal can live to 70 years they can live to about 50 to 60 years the gorillas about 50 years in the wild and their diet consists of nothing but plants you’re gonna tell any of them they’re missing out in protein I mean this animal has 10 times the upper-body strength of the average male adult and where is he getting all his protein from from this his diet consists of roots shoots bamboo and banana he’s getting all his calcium all his iron all his vitamins all his minerals the amino acids from this you get everything everything here’s a new food pyramid right it’s two things your body is like a machine okay think of your body as a machine you have to put the proper fuels in it to get it to work properly if you don’t put the proper fuels it ain’t going to work and if you put fuels that aren’t as good quality of the others that will lead to heart disease cancers strokes diabetes obesity high blood pressure high cholesterol it’s like if you take a Porsche and you fill it up with diesel what happens you just you just screwed the car up right and I guarantee what are people going to say to you when you say heaven I I put diesel in my car today you know what they’re gonna say to you I guarantee it is it is wrong with you no offense when somebody puts a hamburger in their mouth nobody say what the is wrong stop stop all right you get everything all right I know I said pick up your body is machine now think of your body as a house I love I love analogies think of your body as a house right to build a house you got to start with a foundation you can’t start with the roof here’s the foundation this is the foundation this is where all that starts the fruits and vegetables key to a healthy diet variety of foods a variety of colors you get everything from this right and then you build your walls with legumes the beans and you got the whole grains the wheat the pasta the spaghetti the rice the breads and on top your roof you got your nuts and seeds you can get everything from this everything all your vitamins a b c vitamin D from the Sun you get all your calcium all your iron your omega-3 all your protein the amino acids everything from this everything now I know I’m a skinny white dude with glasses telling you get enough protein but these guys aren’t skinny only one of them’s white so as you can see these guys their diet consists of no meat no dairy no eggs no fish there might be some variations that you know Tony Gonzalez he might be eating fish you know I don’t don’t hold me to it but I know Prince Fielder who is your 2009 homerun King Home Run Derby king no meat no dairy yet no eggs no fish mac danzig who fights in the Ultimate Fighter hit season one champion UFC fighter no meat no dairy no eggs no fish so you can still excel at you know your sports you can still gain muscle mass on a plant-based diet again just remember the gorillas so what do they eat instead of dairy you know everything everything you know a meat-eater a dairy eater I eat I eat as well it just comes in plant form no cruelty involved no hot you know no cholesterol high in fiber and these are all the processed food this is the transition food this is where you go when you go from eating meat you know and you make that switch instead of poultry get it beef garden burger veggie burger right here what you see up here this is one of the best items on the market again not like the healthiest food in the world but certainly better than your meat this is called the riblets now you know I want you to try it you haven’t tried this go to Publix Whole Foods you can get all this food at Publix and Whole Foods it’s really amazing if you if you try it out on you know your family you know tell them it’s meat you know I’d love to see the response they give it really is good stuff and remember all meat dairy and egg products go through a process all right it doesn’t just magically form in this case the process involves killing cooking pasteurization refrigeration freezing and we cannot forget the all-important seasoning I mean I remember going to McDonald’s as a child and I didn’t just get a slab of meat you know its slab of meat had herbs and spices put into it was put on a grill cooked and then it came to me with a bun lettuce tomatoes ketchup mustard and onions and a pickle what all those things made out of plants we put condiment spice and herbs on the meat to make it taste better in fact what would meat be without plants just be a dead animal be a carcass on your plate would be no different from roadkill so the word of the day is vegan and the vegan is somebody who chooses not to eat any meat dairy eggs or fish and again how is this extreme how is it extreme not to be drinking the milk of any other species how is it extreme not to be eating hen periods how is it extreme to not be participating in a system that unnecessarily kills animals a lot of kids say man think even after all this they’re still like what do I eat as a vegan now all these products are vegan there’s no meat no dairy no eggs but this is all crap this is unhealthy this the junk food vegan and you know kids get all excited all right I’m going vegan I just nothing it’s like god only knows what the town the fans um you know if your die consists of nothing but Oreos skittles airheads fritos sour patch kids and big league chew you’re gonna die this is unhealthy I don’t know if kids hear that but you know all right I’m gonna live on a healthier note you know you have your spam with eggs I have my scrambled tofu pancakes you’ll have to use cow milk use soy milk oat milk rice milk almond milk coconut milk hemp milk fruits and vegetables spaghetti pasta refried beans even have vegan sour cream guacamole comes from the avocado the soy cheese rice cheese they even they’ll have this magical cheese I get to in a sec veggie burger veggie dog cupcakes you they have egg replacers we don’t have them up here so you can replace the eggs with bananas applesauce even you can use soy milk oat milk more flour water coconut milk ice cream one of the best ice creams in the world again not healthy but you know healthier than cow milk ice cream you know I’ve always said to people that if you can put a man or a woman on the moon how hard is it to make a cheese that doesn’t come from a cow or you know goat like how is it hard is it to make a vegan cheese well they heard me this is called Daiya cheese actually and it’s great thing is no soy no rice it’s actually made out of tapioca and arrowroot flour I know that’s not making your mouth water but man it is good here’s another example of waiting at your protein from this is a vegan sausage it’s about that big it’s the size of this remote and there’s four in a package each one of these has 29 grams of protein again the healthiest food you can eat is the whole foods I don’t mean the supermarket I mean the fruits the vegetables the rice the beans you know stuff that’s fresh that’s not processed I’m the last thing I do want to show you is another video there’s a happier video and this is the whole idea of change in perception I know I’m keeping your Jesus longer than you probably wanted but um it’s a really beautiful story and I hope you enjoy it you you you there she is beautiful girl she was tagged for slaughter and that would have been her face but she wanted to live and so she literally ran for her life and now she’ll live out her life is sanctuary it’s interesting how the public responds when one individual animal you know makes a run for her life they end up making headlines on national news people’s hearts go out to this one individual animal the cruelty that that happens to farm animals is largely hidden you know behind factory farm walls and people aren’t aware of it when you look in her eyes you know everyone wants the best for her once they get to know her and when people are able to identify with an individual and look her in the eye and see that she’s a living feeling being who has a will to live then people care I’ve been working here with Animal Care and Control for almost nine years this morning was really astonishing to me all of a sudden it dawned on me the sweet innocent cow running away from being slaughtered and I never even thought about it before that something is actually being slaughtered and it’s my ground beef and it’s my tongue and stuff like that and we’ve been eating there some years I never pictured that face on that yeah and it hurt I can’t do that so now we won’t work on not eating me me and my entire family cuz I’m realizing that the Select had saved today and when my family will be saving a couple of more banks she’ll take she’s about a year old absolutely beautiful Hereford and those unfortunately are cows of the years for me she’s most likely at a live market and because they have very strong will to live like any living creature she godless she had a will to live and she did it where she’s going now she’s gonna have like cows of her own greedy she’s gonna be so happy when the trailer arrives gets the cows in the herd remove yeah they may will move in a big line everybody lines up they will start moving to comfort her and to tell her that they’re there and she will move out and look at any animal any creature has a strong will to live she’s an ambassador for all animals who are still suffering and and if you don’t don’t have such a such a lucky all people love a happy ending and it’s happy I see The Vegan Society debate childhood vegan nutrition on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff

[UltraVid id=123 ]Welcome back to Thursdays show with Helen
Led, Steve First and Joe Woods, still to come Is it acceptable to tell someone, friend,
family, stranger to wash their hands especially if they’ve just come out of the loo. 02071735555
is the number. First though is putting your child on a strict vegan diet tantamount to
abuse? An Italian couple have just lost custody of their 14 month-old son after his strict
vegan diet reportedly left him severely malnourished. The child was taken to a hospital by grandparents
a week ago and after finding him to be under weight, the same weight as a three-month-old
in fact, and in general poor health, authorities took him into care. Veganism is a lifestyle
that excludes all animal products and by products so there’s no meat, no fish, no milk, no eggs,
no honey, no leather fur silk or wool. It’s grown in popularity, the number of vegans
in Britain is up by a staggering 360 percent in a decade. 542,000 in total and It’s usually
an ethical choice and some choose it for their children to follow too but given It’s restrictive
nature, can it provide the nutrients that children need to develop. What experts say
is It’s more difficult to nourish a young child adequately on a restrictive diet especially
as they often have to eat more to get the same energy values, some can end up deficient
in vitamin D, calcium and iron. Unsurprisingly those at The Vegan Society would disagree,
they say research shows vegans are generally healthier then those on an animal-based diet,
as their more clued up about nutrition and joining us now is Jimmy Pearson who is a spokesperson
for The Vegan Society, thank you very much for joining us Jimmy and how long have you
been a vegan?. I’ve been vegan for two years now and I must admit It’s the best decision
I ever made. Why did you decide to go vegan? Well I went vegan initially because I wanted
to improve my health and I very quickly noticed a string of benefits, I was sleeping better,
had clearer skin, my digestion was much improved and I had a lot more energy that was the main
thing I noticed. I went from someone who didn’t enjoy running at all to loving long distance
running, It was fantastic and all the evidence also suggests that the vegan diet is really
effective and protecting against lots of long-term chronic health conditions so I’m sure the
benefits will continue throughout my life but It’s not just about health for me, the
more I looked into the meat industry and the dairy industry, the more the standard practises
shocked me so now I would say I was mainly vegan for the animals. And I would like to
know and I mean It’s all very well you being an adult doing this but do you have children
Yes. And are they vegan? Yes they are. My partner Emma and I had our first child, our
daughter Sharon only 3 months ago so she’s exclusively breast feeding still and I think
we’ll start weaning at about 6 months. And then what are you gonna put the child on?
If they don’t have milk or even goats milk. I think goats milk is quite a good option
but what will after she’s finished breast feeding what will you give your child Well
we will of course be raising her vegan on the basis that we think based on our experience
how we feel and all the evidence and research in front of us that it will give her the best
possible start in life and as soon as she’s old enough to start eating she’ll be eating
all the fantastic wide variety of vegan foods that we eat. Straight to food Laura will continue
breastfeeding as long as she can which is up to two years which I think is the world
health organisations recommendation, particularly people on vegan diets. Do you think people
are going to judge you for that stand? Well they haven’t done so far, I’d say not at all
actually. Well you’re on national TV now so maybe. Public perception is changing fast
and old stereotypes are fading slowly but surely and most people nowadays rather then
asking me where I get my protein from, they’re asking me for recipe ideas which is fantastic
and throughout my partner being pregnant and Sharon being born we had unqualified support
from the medical profession, now that’s not the experience all vegans get but it was for
us whether It’s GPs, midwives, health visitors, they’re all completely behind us and I think
that’s an indication that the tide’s turning and that people are much more accepting of
veganism but there’s a point I’d really like to make here actually and It’s that the media’s
portrayal of this case that’s particularly misleading. Now there are on average 5,000
cases of malnutrition in the UK alone every year yet the media has decided to highlight
a single instance with a vegan family in Italy. Now in terms of malnutrition the problem in
this case and with every case is a shortage of calories and nutrients, It’s nothing inherently
to do with the vegan diet which contains everything you need for great health at every age and
life stage including childhood and infancy and that’s the position of the British Dietetic
Association who are widely regarded as the leading authority on matters like this in
this country. You put your case very well, as one would expect, I’m just interested that
you’ve been a vegan for two years so before that, didn’t you like a pint and crisps and
the steak? Admittedly I was a big meat-eater and if someone told me I’d be vegan a number
of years ago I would not of believed them. I used to work in KFC. Oh my god, even I don’t
do chicken in a drum stick, in a basket sorry. So It’s interesting, you’ve done this for
2 years, I applaud everything you’ve said, what would you do if your child says “Right
dad, I want a steak and I want it now.” Well of course those kind of choices about her
diet are entirely hers and as they will be throughout her life and all different things,
My partner and I will support her however she chooses to live her life and with whoever.
So it’s just for while she can’t answer back she will get the lentils. We will of course
try our best to ensure those choices are informed choices and we’ll explain where food comes
from, how the animals are treated and importantly the impact that has on animals and our health
but also the environment. Jimmy we’ve got a lot of calls on, haven’t we storm? absolutely
we’ve got Ang on line 4, Hello Good Morning Ang, Would you like to address your question
straight to Jimmy. Well my question is that I stopped eating red meat and I became really
really ill and I had to be hospitalized twice and have blood transfusions and nearly die,
I think what you’re doing is really irresponsible, what people need to understand is it’s not
really a question but our biology is animal biology, we can take in iron from animal better than iron from vegetables and I do think It’s a subtle form in my opinion of abuse. I don’t
know whether you could look at it properly because you probably weren’t brought up as
a vegan from birth where you? No I was a meat-eater all my life, and speaking from my experience
I felt significantly better once I removed animal products from my diet and to call it
irresponsible I would have to disagree with that, it’s not a restrictive diet, it contains
everything you need for great health but I suppose the problems come from a lack of educational
knowledge or information about it but there are huge amounts of resources online, It’s
never been easier to vegan than it is now so I’m sorry that you had a negative experience
but that’s not the general experience and if you were willing to give it a try again
there’s lots of support which perhaps there wasn’t years ago. Jimmy I just want to come
back to that point about bringing up a child as vegan and part of the problem seems to
be about the calories being large enough with a vegan diet. Well that is something that’s
been raised, and it’s a point, I can’t dispute that, children of course have smaller stomachs, but the recommendation about breast
feeding for as long as you can goes some way to alleviating that and eating little and
often is another good way to do it. Part of the problem is a vegan diet has a lot of fibre
in it which of course means you need to get even more calories. Absolutely but also there’s
a misconception that things like calcium come exclusively from dairy products but actually
if you look at green leafy vegetables, almonds, tofu, spinach for example, they’ve got much
higher rates of absorption then dairy products. Storm? We have bob on line 3. Hi there Bob,
Hi there. What’s your point? I agree with the guy from The Vegan Society, I’ve got three
kids myself and after two and a half years, for thirty years I ate meat, dairy, and eggs
and I had no reason to change but we came across some information about the ethics,
the health and environmental aspects and as responsible parents we did our research and
put the time in to find out if this was something applicable and that if our kids especially
could thrive on it, that’s what the difference is, maybe if these parents have dived into
this with their child without really doing their research and they haven’t really fed
him that’s where the problem lies but like the man from The Vegan Society said, all the
information is out there and we even consulted a nutritional therapist who gave us some more
information and since then I’ve had a knee problem of 14 years that disappeared, my kids
acne completely cleared up and we’ve never been healthier really. That’s what Jimmy was
saying, Bob thank you very much for giving us a ring. Storm? We’ve got Fiona on line
one. Hi There. Hi There, Good Morning, what’s your point? I agree with Jimmy that there
is a lack of understanding around what veganism actually is, because being plant based as a diet, being vegan is more about a wider understanding on where you can get your values from, if you explain to a child from a young age how their choices impact the wider world, then you are raising a compassionate human
being. I can see how that is a benefit to society and to them long term. Ok Fiona thank you
very much, Jen am I right in thinking you’re vegetarians? I’ll eat fish and occasionally
chicken but only if it’s organic. I’m all about organic and eating clean. You very rarely
see a fat vegan, vegans I see tend to be very healthy looking people. I want to be a vegan
now, let me be a vegan if I can look like him. He looks very lean and healthy. Storm?
We have Aaron on line 2. Hi, I find it astonishing that people equate veganism to extremism,
I’d ask people what’s more extreme eating a plant-based diet that reduces and reverses
your chances of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, or slaughtering 259 million animals daily
on the global scale? I suppose we come back to that point that Jimmy made, that there
is malnutrition on what people could consider a normal diet so in this particular instance
it’s more about the parents perhaps not knowing quite so much. Aaron thank you very much and
I suppose that’s what you’d say Jimmy doesn’t feel extreme to you, you just think it’s all
about food. Emma you’re a vegan aren’t you? Yeah I’m vegan, I think it’s the best decision
I’ve ever made, I’ve never felt healthier then when I started being vegan. I feel great.
How long have you been a vegan? I’ve been a vegan for a year and a half now and I feel
absolutely great and I stand by everything that Jimmy said so its great, it’s not a extreme
diet. Perhaps a little more difficult when you’re eating out with friends. Oh actually
it’s got easier and easier, Most restaurants now do offer a vegan option and I don’t find
it difficult at all, I think it’s fine. Ok thank you very much Emma and to you Jimmy.
I’m not being frivolous but can you have vegan wine? You can absolutely. So growing and fermenting’s
okay, I think that’s what happens with wine. Some of them are cleared with animal products.
With wine sometimes they use egg white to wash in the product. Ok, I’m leaning. Thank
you very much and thank you Jimmy. Thank you to all of you for calling.

WHAT I EAT IN A DAY + WORKOUT ROUTINE | VEGAN

[UltraVid id=116 ]Hey y’all so I am here to share with you guys what I have been eating well some of what I’ve been eating on my fitness journey for my bikini competition so but before we start and get into this I want to let you guys know that on our website my national sisters comm we have a giveaway we do giveaways each month and this month we are partnered with a special brand Lush Cosmetics they absolutely love this brand they also cater to vegans in a lot of ways and I absolutely love their products been using them for years and two people are going to be chosen to win a hundred dollar gift card all to Lush Cosmetics go ahead and click the link down below if you guys finish watching this video to my natural sisters com2 in turn it is free to enter okay also make sure that you guys also follow us on snapchat because we have been sending up in a little bit more since we have a little bit more time and yeah so now for the juicy stuff what have I’ve been eating okay I’m going to give you guys a lowdown on what I eat pretty much on a high day into my competition so my competition is July 30th the Lila burrata show in PC competition sticking to this diet has been it’s been a breeze but these last couple of days for some reason have been like really really challenging but I’ve been carb cycling these past three weeks so I have like a high day where I eat a bit more higher calories and higher carbs and then have a really really low day where I’m eating really low cal lower calories and lower carbs but basically my calories range right now because they tape it off since I’ve started dieting for this competition they have been tapering off slowly and so have my carbohydrates so do I recommend this diet for someone to get in shape on a daily no I don’t know to me it is not healthy this is not a Oh a like this everyday you can totally mess up your metabolism so my calories have been ranging from anywhere between 1100 in 1350 M our carbohydrates on a high day are about 95 grams to 100 grams they basically below 100 grams and in on my low days they’re about 45 grams to 50 max grams on a low day so I just one let you guys know no I will not continue to eat this way after the show I will keep you updated on how I’m doing I am looking into doing a reverse side I’ve been researching to figure out what’s going to be best for me I do not plan on going back to where I was to the way I was eating before where I was eating a ton of calories way to me for my body and way too many carbohydrates I’m not doing that but I’m also not going to continue the diet that I’m on now because it is not healthy so I’m going to find a nice medium in between and go from there and I will keep you guys updated on that as well so let’s start with breakfast okay so to start my day off I’m going to have a oatmeal tofu smoothie and I’m going to use my Vitamix blender to get the job done so I’m going to use 1/3 cup of oats about 1/3 cup of strawberries I’m going to use 1/4 of a block of firm tofu and I’m also going to add in half a cup of unsweetened vanilla cashew milk and I’m going to add about 8 to 12 ounces of water and I’m going to blend it all up for about 10 to 15 seconds and I am going to serve it in a mason jar and on top of it I like to sprinkle a bit of cinnamon that instead that this hopes to also burn fetch I don’t know I just really like taste and stir it all up and that is breakfast okay so from our post-workout meal I do just a simple protein shake using my garden alive organic a protein powder this is the vanilla flavor and I just simply mix it with water and I do this twice a day once from after my first workout and once after my second and as an on the go snack have packed a apple cinnamon rice cake here for when I needed and I eat this before my lunch so for lunch I am going to do tofu sweet potatoes and broccoli in I like to go ahead and preset the oven for my sweet potato to about 425 degrees Fahrenheit and of course I rinse my sweet potato out and I poke holes with a fork inside of the sweet potato just so to cook faster and more thoroughly and I wrap it in foil and put it in a non-stick baking sheet pan and I let this cook for about an hour and during that hour I prepare my other food so I’m going to start off with boiling some water for my frozen broccoli I’m going to add three cups here of frozen broccoli Emma let this cook while I prepare my tofu so I’m going to use extra firm tofu here and I’m going to use a knife and a cutting board to do job and I’m going to cut half the block into fours and I’m going to cut this side that I’m using it to 16 pieces and I’m going to use eight pieces for lunch I’m going to eat eight pieces for dinner so to flavor my tofu I’m going to use onion powder garlic powder ground cumin and paprika and I wait until the water warms up a bit and then I add in my seasonings and I kind of mix it up a bit and then I add in my tofu and kind of saute it and let it cook and I cook this all the way through until the water kind of runs out and tofu holds a lot of water so I try to cook it to where there’s not a lot of water in the tofu so during that time while my tofu was cooking up I strain out my broccoli and I began plating and I only eat half of the sweet potato here and I like to sprinkle on top some cinnamon because I love cinnamon and I’m also going to use some salt free chipoltle a seasoning by mrs. – and I’ll spring some on top of my tofu so that is my lunch ok now off to my afternoon snack I’m going to use my chocolate protein powder unsweetened cashew milk and organic frozen strawberries in some water so in the blender I’m going to mix two scoops of my chocolate protein for strawberries 1/2 a cup of unsweetened cashew milk and about 16 ounces of water and I’m going to blend that up for about 10 to 15 seconds in my Vitamix and I am going to drink that all up and now I’m having dinner so I’ve already precooked my tofu in my brown rice and so all I’m going to do here is cook my frozen asparagus and I’m going to cook the whole entire pack I’m going to eat the whole entire pack it’s not really a lot of calories but it looks like it and I let it cook for about six to eight minutes let it boil strain my asparagus and then i plate my food so all I’m gonna have is my 8 pieces of tofu in a half a cup of brown rice plain Jane and on top of my asparagus I like to use lime juice it’s zero calories zero sodium with mrs. Dash’s salt previous the lime seasoning and voila that is it so all someone like to add that I do drink about two gallons of water a day and I’m also taking a Fabri and I know they mentioned this earlier but it is by alpha mean and I also came across a vegan friendly VCAA powder but Lila Prada himself the guy who’s hosting the show that I’m actually going to be competing in okay so that’s the insight on my diet and it changes and it has changed constantly throughout the whole entire process and how it came about planning my diet I read a vegan muscle in bodybuilding book it’s called the vegan Muscle & Fitness guide to bodybuilding competitions in this book and I’ll show you what it looks like here on the cover has helped me out a ton and I also got tips from Danny my trainer and Carmen babysit say um also gave me tips along the way of you know what to do and what not to do as well I have been doing my diet this whole entire time and I pretty much used this book as a guide and pretty much tailored the meal plan to fit my needs and I’ve learned a ton by just doing my own diet myself so diet Liz was my little baby in this whole situation and training is pretty much Diddy so I want to give you guys the rundown on what my workout routine is during the week sunday is just simply a cardio day and we’re almost one week out from the show I’ve been cutting down on my cardio but for the most part I’ve been doing 45 minutes to an hour of cardio and I’ll try to switch it up sometimes I do Stairmaster sometimes I get on a treadmill um lately I’ve been like these past two or three weeks for like two weeks I don’t know I don’t know it’s like two and a half weeks I don’t know I’ve been going to the track so I’m going to track with Danny and I’ve been to the track requirement once it was a wake up call because I had ran track in long a long time I don’t like running but I needed to get my legs down my legs are pretty thick they’re hefty but I like my legs but for the show you know you gotta be a little slender than usual so um the track has much definitely hope that Danny and I we do Sprint’s bleachers job this job the Straits walk the curbs what I gave a car man was we pretty much sprinted the straights in job the curves I think five times around the track but there’s different different routines different workouts you can do the track and it pretty much helped get my legs down mondays are two a days I have five days out of the week where I workout twice so that’s like a cardio in a weight training day on Mondays I do cardio in legs and on Mondays I work out by myself or train by myself um and I’m pretty good with training my legs I feel confident all that stuff so I’ll do cardio you do it in the afternoon or the evening but I’ve been doing my weight training in the morning and my cardio in the evening all the days that I work out by myself that I wait trained by myself so Tuesdays I work out with Danny then the man and I do cardio in the mornings and I do back and biceps with him on Wednesdays Wednesday is another just playing cardio day it’s my choice of what I want to do for cardio Thursday is another day that I work out with Danny so I do cardio in the morning and I wait train with him in the afternoons and on Thursdays we do shoulders and we train hamstrings so we do shoulders and hams on Thursdays Fridays I train with Danny again I do cardio in the morning and we do legs together and so we hit legs Saturday I train by myself it’s another two a day and I’d like to do my weight training in the morning just to get it out of the way but if I can’t sometimes I’ll do cardio in the morning when I weight training by myself but I do chest and triceps in the morning on Saturdays and cardio in the evenings and sometimes here and there Danny will have me work on other muscle groups with him if I need the extra help like my triceps it was so hard for me to like they were being stubborn so it’s hard for me to trigger that muscle so he held me I’ll take quite a bit I’ll work out three times out of the week with Danny and he’ll give me the you know tips on what I should do for cardio or you know training certain muscles like my tries or my legs he’ll give me tips on what to do when I’m by myself so he has been such a big help to me in such a guide and such a great friend throughout this whole entire process he’s an amazing trainer and I couldn’t ask for more I’m so happy that I’ve met him how we begin our training through this room we began preparation for the show is we did heavier weights in less reps and so now that we’re getting closer I guess you call that bulking so it was bokken moon doing heavier weights less reps that was with during our poking phase and now that we’re closer to the show we have been doing lighter weights in more rifts so we’re in a cutting phase right now and he’s getting ready to cut my my cardio just so I can retain most a little bit more and yeah we’ll start depletion next week so I’ll be cutting out my water and I’ll be taking some diuretics in order to release water weight from my body so that you can see the muscle definition a bit more he said I’ll be cutting out my protein shake so my diet of course is going to change and I’ve got to be hydrated so that should help out with the tofu retaining water stuff like that if I have to increase my tofu or tempeh intake tempeh doesn’t really have a lot of water but it’s the tofu does but yes so that is my workout routine I do want to mention that I believe that you can train for show without the use of a fat burner and other supplements I’m using them because I ran into diet issues earlier on in preparation for the show and needed substance pastor in order to be competitive so if you’re doing it without subs allow yourself a generous amount of time to prepare for a show okay so if you guys have any more questions or comments please leave them down below so that I can interact with you I will be posting my last video next Friday before the show so I will see you guys then love you

Here’s What Happens To Your Brain And Body When You Go Vegan

[UltraVid id=95 ]What happens to your body when you go vegan thinking of making the jump to a vegan diet you’re not alone in your first few weeks you may feel especially tired without meat vegans often have a hard time getting enough vitamin b12 and iron which helps make red blood cells and transport oxygen throughout the body but it’s nothing a supplement or a handful of nuts can’t fix you may also discover that foods don’t taste the way they used to that’s because your zinc levels have taken a hit affecting your overall sense of taste and smell on the plus side expect to lose some weight right away after switching new vegans lost an average of 10 pounds over a ten-month period plus a 2009 study found that average BMI was lower for vegans than all other diets another benefit that you may experience is a healthy decrease in cholesterol blood pressure and heart disease risk in 1999 a study showed that vegans were 24% less likely to have clogged arteries from saturated fat and cholesterol while your arteries are better off your bones may not be if you’re like most Americans who get their daily calcium from dairy products you may see a dip in calcium levels but you can combat this by simply boosting your intake of kale broccoli and other leafy greens plus cutting out dairy might make you more regular 60% of humans don’t have the enzyme to properly digest lactose and dairy the result is cramping bloating and even diarrhea swapping dairy with high-fiber veggies will make bathroom trips a lot more productive like any diet veganism has its pros and cons be sure to research and see which diet is best for you

What is the relationship between diet and spirituality

[UltraVid id=90 ]I read a quote where you were discussing people’s food choices and how that’s connected maybe to their spirituality and I’m wondering if you can elaborate on how that’s connected especially concerning ahimsa thank you I would say I’ve never as I never do to tell people you should do this or you should not do that but you should be present with whatever your food choices are and then the right food choice will happen for you rather than giving a an abstract guideline it needs to come from within rather than as something from without so if you are vegetarian that’s wonderful it doesn’t mean that mediately makes you into a person who is spiritual you could be egoic li identified with being vegetarian in which case it would be a hindrance to the realization of the spiritual dimension so I saw I shocked a vegetarian once when I said did you know that Hitler was a vegetarian that person was very strongly identified with a mental image of me as a spiritual evolved vegetarian and so yes he was a very tired I don’t know why it was a vegetarian perhaps I don’t know I haven’t read about it but I know that when he whenever people around Hitler were eating chicken soup and so he said condescendingly so you’re eating dead bird soup so it really is it comes the answer to that comes from within you and you have to do what feels right what corresponds to your state of consciousness at any time when you go into when you even look at food or even think of food it is helpful to sometimes when I buy some foods I go into a supermarket or some and I look at the shelf I imagine that this is going into my body and then the body either opens after it or closes down and so if you are in touch with the body then that is quite helpful it makes it easier the mind often doesn’t really know what what the body really wants it’s a mind remember some past pleasure and wants to repeat it and that’s where overeating also occurs because it’s just overeating is on the external level on the physical level the need to fail a sense of insufficiency that is ultimately there on the SOI psychological spiritual level the sense of not enough is ego the ego lives from that sense of insufficiency of not enough and of needing more and for some people that becomes into the physical realm in which case and you eat more than the body really needs or wants and again it’s it’s a spiritual dilemma it can only be really ultimately transcended if you realize that you are not that needy entity that says I need more so body awareness helps a lot in food choice and then it’s up to you what it is that you feel and you will know there but you will not be in a dilemma you will know what is right for you and so this is all important answers need to come from within you

Sadhguru- Dont Be Identified As A Vegan Or Vegetarian.

[UltraVid id=79 ]See if is a question of survival eat garbage and you survive what’s the problem if it’s about survive I think largely we passed that situation of how to survive now it’s a question of choice we brought life to everything to a choice almost every human being can choose and eat there still is a segment of unfortunate population which cannot choose they have to eat what comes but that’s not so in this country definitely one can choose and eat so once choice comes what to eat there’s a whole dimension of how to know what to eat and what not to eat if I go into this dissin elaborate affair but every human being can generate the necessary awareness that if food appears you know what to eat and what not to eat above all what kind of food is your system designed for that is the kind of food you eat don’t make food into your philosophy or a religion food is about the body it must go through the system with minimum amount of resistance for example because the question is about vegetarian or non-vegetarian how we look at the food is if you eat any food what is happening is the food has to become a part of your system it has to be integrated to become you if the food that you consume has a very complex sense of memory and information then our body’s ability to break it and make it a part of ourselves is reduced if you eat a simple memory code or the genetic code in a particular creature let’s say you eat a vegetable it is very simple or in other words in the evolutionary scale whatever is furthest away from you that’s what you must consume or in other words you never consume a mammal because it is too close to you and it’s memory is too complex and you will never be able to break it down 100% if you consume this partly you break the break down the genetic code another part of it remains or in other words gradually the animal qualities will enter your system and unknowingly these things will find expression people are going through anger stress just simply rage everywhere this is simply because of the one main reason is the food that they’re consuming so whatever is the simplest memory code that is what you must consume so that easily you can break it down and make it a part of yourself or whatever is farthest away from you in the evolutionary scale that’s the best thing so in that context if you must eat non-vegetarian food the fish is the best thing to eat because it is the first form of life on this planet as it gets more complex as you come towards mammals is becoming very complex and that’s not suitable for human consumption we can show various parameters in the body the length of the elementary can all how things happen in the system if you look at all this clearly the body is stating what it wants when it comes to food you should not ask your doctor a guru or a nutritionist now you must ask your body you eat something and see how quickly the food moves out of your stomach back into the intestine if it’s happening very quickly within 2 and 1/2 hours if everything is gone that’s good food to eat if it’s lingering on between 4 to 6 hours that’s not good thing to eat
