HOW TO BE RAW VEGAN ON A BUDGET – 20 TIPS

Oh my gosh I have passed figs Wow being robbed vegan on a budget is definitely doable I have now been raw almost ten years and honestly I don’t make that much money so I’m gonna share some of my tips with you today and of course not everything is gonna be applicable to everybody but I’m sure if you stay through the video that you can find at least one takeaway tip for yourself look at your budget I know it sounds like cliche almost annoying advice to hear in the past I’ve looked into raw retreats and they’re like thousands of dollars and the response that I get from the people who are putting it on is like well what’s the cost of your health really cat and it’s almost a trick question because of course your health is priceless but we also have to be smart about our money and if getting in debt it’s gonna stress you in the long run like mental health is something you have to care about as well so of course I believe your health is priceless but I’m also not here to tell you to buy that $12 pint of blueberries because they’re healthy for you if you’re asking how much it costs to be raw you know very likely it will cost more than a processed diet so it might be worthwhile to reevaluate your expenses and see if there’s any reworking you can do when it comes to your spending really look at where your money is going and decide if it’s important to you make your staple foods cheap ones bananas are a great example buy in bulk in order to get case discounts and this is gonna work for fresh fruit it works for coconut water or juices anything that you want to buy in bulk you should be able to get the wholesale price for something like a 10 to 15% case discount at any grocery store don’t be shy to talk to the staff at grocery stores and farmers markets as well research your nearest wholesaler some of them even do delivery get creative I found a really good grocery store one time because I was talking to a restaurant owner about where he got his produce shop locally and in season because of its natural abundance in season fruit is likely going to be less expensive than something that’s been shipped in is it being shipped in right now [Music] and of course this also helps support your local farmers find aesthetically challenged fruit or veggies at your grocery store or farmers market sometimes they have a rack where it’s already marked down to scale fruit sometimes you can even just talk to them one-on-one and say hey this is kind of funky it’s probably headed for the trash but I’ll take it off your hands for you you just want to mark it down for me I did go over this in my other video and I’ll link that below don’t waste your coin there are quite a few on this topic so I’ll start with one which would be low calorie fruit something like out of season fresh raspberries for example those are gonna be so expensive I would consider them definitely as a luxury item and maybe use some more as like enhancements to your meals if you really want to go for that flavor so adding a few into your smoothie just to get that raspberry flavor or adding them as little toppings to your desserts instead of trying to make like a whole monomial out of them I’d say to think before you buy superfoods these can be quite pricy and not always worth it don’t waste your point on smoothies from restaurants I think once in a while it’s great to treat yourself but most of the time you’ll be able to make that same meal at home for a fraction of the price lastly don’t waste your money on the pre-cut prepackaged fruits and veggies in the like quick grab fridge sections of grocery stores I know it seems convenient but it’s just their way of squeezing dollars out of you while making use of their moldy fruit that’s what they do they’re cutting off the bad sections and it’s great I think as far as like sustainability and using all the parts of the fruit but they’re quite overpriced at the end of the day nobody’s getting a deal walking out a Whole Foods with like a little twelve dollar cup of watermelon and that touches on that low calorie point from the beginning is really understand how many calories you’re getting out of each dollar you’re spending watermelons on that note be prepared for outings if you know you’re someone who’s likely to get peckish so bring food with you or simply know where you can access cheap fruit while you’re out and if you’re asking what is cheap fruit like how if I’m getting a deal that’s a great question and I’m gonna encourage you to shop around there’s definitely a learning curve to this if you’re someone who’s new to buying fresh produce something I do and would definitely recommend with regard to shopping around is I keep a digital note on my phone and as I go to the different grocery stores and farmers markets in my neighborhood I have a list of my staple foods that I kind of always buy my favorite items and I will write the different costs for each store of course costs are gonna very subtly but I start to get an idea of trends of the cost of each fruit or vegetable how that changes throughout the year and how that differs from store to store in terms of like which ones are the more fancy grocery stores that are just charging work if they can and which ones are more like budget-friendly I’d also recommend exploring Asian markets if you have access my experience is that they have pretty good prices generally and a selection of exotic fruits that are hard to find anywhere else talk to other raw vegans and vegans especially the ones in your area you can do this in person or online like Instagram or 30 bananas a day pick their brain ask where they get their cheapest stuff the raw vegan and making community is amazing and I’ve had such a phenomenal time at every gathering that I’ve been to but I would never want anyone to get this idea that they have to blow the bank on an expensive raw vegan retreat just to maintain this lifestyle cuz that’s not the case of course you have the online community for support but there’s nothing better than in real life connection and there’s definitely budget-friendly ways to do that free options include pot Luck’s in your area or a lot of gatherings are free more like one-day events that are just hosted in a park or something as for longer-term events look into your volunteer options retreats need staff festivals needs that I’ve been to at least four festivals now and I have volunteer to every single one of them and of course it’s going to be a different experience because you’re working a lot of the time but it made it possible for me actually attend on the topic of travel think about how to factor your diet into your travel plans for example it’s gonna be tremendously cheaper to be a fruitarian in Thailand then it would be in Japan it’s gonna be cheaper to travel as a fruitarian in the tropics than it would be in Alaska in wintertime for example of course your diet is not here to rule your life but it’s something to take into consideration if it’s important to you and you’re on a budget as another option maybe consider combining whooping into your travel experience if that makes sense for you you know finding a farm you can stay on work on and eat from I do have a video on this topic and I’ll link that below as well there are a lot of guerilla farming that’s happening and just natural seed spreading that’s happening so there are wild plants that you can eat from foraging is gonna be location dependent and see them dependent but definitely consider it as an option the more and more that I learned about fruit and fruit trees the more as I’m driving around I can spy them in neighborhoods so get educated on what fruit trees look like you can also access different maps online I know when I was staying in California I just googled like fruit neighborhood map or something with these keywords and I was able to find so many fig trees in my area that were just public like on the side of the road that nobody else was accessing oh my gosh I have to pass to fig Wow so there are fruit maps available there’s also Craigslist some homeowners have fruit trees in their backyard that are really just a nuisance to them and they put ads like can somebody please come pick my oranges or have free oranges that may be also accessible on Facebook groups for your neighborhood you can also put an ad on Craigslist like will come pick your fruit if I can eat it I will soon be a full-on glowing orb as the Sun that’s right here Oh better so check out your map options Craigslist and heck I wouldn’t be surprised if there were even apps nowadays that facilitate foraging consider working or volunteering even a couple times a month at your local farmers market grocery store farm or co-op I say this because employees will often read the benefit of partial discounts or extra free food plus the networking opportunities of countless I know organic can be so expensive so maybe you can’t buy it right now and that’s okay and it doesn’t have to be all or nothing maybe you can just buy some and not others get educated if you’re sensitive on which produce is most susceptible to chemicals consider secondary options so of course fresh fruits and vegetables are gonna be ideal most of the time for a digestion and nutrition etc but there’s still some really great healthy secondary options that might be worth including cuz they’re a little easier on the budget most of the time in my mind this includes dried fruit and vege frozen fruit and vege fruit and veggie juice like bottled and maybe it’s even pasteurized and that’s okay with you you know we really have to find what works best for us and at the end of the day that’s gonna be healthy or no doubt and buying like soda bah minimize eating out I say this because restaurant meals will likely not fill up the stomach of a raw vegan if being honest and maybe there’s raw vegan gourmet on offer but I find that’s not worth it for me it ends up costing me my gut with too many refined and fatty ingredients I end up just healing you’ll grow your own simple things like herbs or scallion can be really expensive in the store and practically effortless to grow at home even something like kale does pretty well a lot of places because it’s so hard me so research in your area talk to your local farmers or research online you can figure it out shop online to find the best deals for particular items so your favorite superfoods powder is flavoring supplements even kitchen equipment using powders or supplements might be helpful for you from one person to the next we’re gonna have different deficiencies or lifestyle based need if you’re lacking in particular minerals for example it might require like a whole box of mixed greens to supplement you for that those boxes can be like six to nine dollars and if you have to have that every day that’s gonna add up as an alternative you could simply add a scoop of green powder to your movie so that way you get your nutrient requirements without breaking the bank learn how to prepare healthy satisfying raw vegan meals at home this was huge for me on my journey not only did it help save me money from going to restaurants but also helped me develop my relationship with my body and food and you too and that will find your personal way that become more efficient and cost effective with meal prep so to help you with this I have my four recipe books if you’re interested in low-fat raw vegan cuisine I like to focus on Whole Foods so there’s no processed ingredients like salt or oil nothing like now let’s show you or maple syrup or agave my priority still is on the texture and taste so you’ll be feeling really satisfied and if you want to go for all four books there’s a 15% off discount just so you know those are my 20 tips I hope you enjoyed watching this video and now it was helpful for you if you would like to support me and support the vegan message give it a blank i’m sending so much love your way and support on your raw vegan journey you can do it and thanks so much bearing with me as I shift it around to accommodate this son what do you think the world are all around you

Lo’s Vegan Experience in Scandinavia

So we’re here at the Blue Lagoon after our long flight well i was actually five hours but it was the most uncomfortable flight ever yeah yeah my sweat on me constantly yeah well she was in the middle I just have to say that this dish vegan meatloaf with amazing side salad sweet potato salad potato salad while roasted potatoes and a medley of like fresh veggies it’s so good it’s got a mushroom gravy with a raspberry sauce that supposed to resemble like cranberry sauce it’s so good I’m in love with this even women is going crazy for it okay guys so it’s day two of our Icelandic trip in Reykjavik and we’ve decided to have lunch at a traditional Icelandic restaurant it’s called low key and I’ve ordered myself a vegetarian platter but I’ve asked them to take out the cheese and the butter off of my bread and I haven’t tried it yet but it looks good it smells really good got traditional rye bread is like sweet chewy nice so good traditional I splendid flatbread let’s try that we’re as well is a quinoa medley with like vegetables and potatoes and roasted potatoes and then a basic garden slip salad with like a balsamic dressing it’s got pumpkin seeds on it I’ve already tried the quinoa and it’s good it’s got like a pickle sort of flavor which I really like Icelandic food is very heavy and like pickling and like preserving so yeah this is perfect and it’s warm and just filling like making my my soul happy all right okay so now we’re at the Harbor and I’m trying to capture the beautiful mountains can you see them the crowds moving really really fast here and a moment ago is hailing and it was really great and now the sun’s coming out and you can see the mansions a whole lot better correct so at the end of day three we made it in time for our free dinner I had roasted potatoes rice corn niblets frozen veggies which whatever i’ll take salad and lots of bread and oddly enough it was perfect and I feel satisfied and I’m actually ending the night with some red wine to kind of just unwind it’s been a long long day it’s been an eventful last couple days and so every day is a moment worth celebrating you know basically treat every day like it’s your last you never know what’s going to happen in this world and you just want to treat it as if it’s the last okay so good night all right morning guys II woke up to first of all you can see the Sun is rising so pretty that is and then behind us Rick glacier / mountain there’s like a waterfall I can get to it there we go and we’re seeing in that little Hut anyways i’m off for breakfast and then we’re off for excursions and and i’m going to show you guys what is available for me for breakfast I had no freaking clue might is be a bunch of bread and jam which has a great but it’s better than an animal carcass and peace out we have made it to the crashed airplane it’s more like literally in the middle of nowhere and I’m just going to show you there’s the plane the famous plane crash plane morning guys its day six day six of our chip no sick ok so I made a few mistakes today is deep pore of our trip and we’ve departed now off to Norway where in the hay this I’m frustrated guys because I was really pissed off last night we ordered a pizza that was the size of my palm and I thought it’s going to be a lot bigger and i was making jokes because it was as if a else was eating the pizza i’m hungry and i was tired and I’m still feeling really grouchy but it was a savior at the airport a Joe and the juice and so we’re having strawberry banana smoothies and a avocado tomato sandwich on a very interesting paper I’d what it tastes really delicious anyways guys off to Norway very tired but very excited to see what’s ahead alright guys so today is our second day in Oslo we had a really great night last night we walked through the streets of oz whoa downtown here like the harbourfront area and saw quite a bit actually for one night and we had a lovely dinner Reuben loved it I’m me it was ok anyways today’s new today and we just had an amazing lunch at a place called the Loving Hut and it was a vegan and so I documented some of the pictures we both had the shwarma wrap which was part of this world it had the fake meat but I had lots of vegetables the sauce is really delicious honestly it’s amazing so we only ate half of it we’re apt to the second one up and put in our bags because right now we’re off to the viking museum and we’re learning that foods a little more expensive than we budgeted for so that will be our snack if we get hungry and hopefully if we can make it in time maybe go back to the loving hut for dinner to try their chef burger which was their second best seller anyways guys it’s a beautiful day here and we’re feeling good energized pumped all right good Morgan today I am in where are we bergen bergen norway so i have another video in a few days um the last one was in oslo and our last day and also and so i just want to show you guys just a little bit those are the old buildings kind of what Bergen is known for so we were in Oslo and then we left early morning and we took a really awesome train right actually to a little place called Flom & Flom was in the area of like the fjords so when we arrived we did this beautiful snowshoeing hike and I was a little apprehensive at first cuz I’ve never done it before so I was like oh god this could be really hard um actually it was so much fun like so much fun and then the next day which was yesterday we did a few words tour he had a bit of a late start to the day and I had a vegan burrito which I was thankful I’m lucky to have to have hi guys so we made it to a dense safely and we’re actually very tired we’ve had a long couple days of just traveling and you know trekking around and um we decided that we’re actually to stay in and I’m going to cook a dinner and I’m just going to show you what I’m making um I’m actually taking what the apartment already offers so it’s nothing fancy it’s nothing elaborate it’s just making do with what we have on hand i will show you i’m about to make vegetarian pasta so i’ve chopped up some garlic that he has seen around and it took us about like six because we do like garlic and he had some frozen veggies which always like to start a with a little bit olive oil use some dried basil and just season it with a little bit of salt and a lot of mine cover now we’re just gonna make pasta so i’m just waiting now for my pot of water to boil so a trip has finally come to an end I’m a little sad to be leaving to be quite honest I had a fantastic time it was a long journey but it was well worth the 14 days of traveling throughout the countries and experiencing the different landscapes and temperatures and weathers and just what nature threw at us so the last couple of days I have been in Copenhagen and the first night that we came kind of like a little scary to be quite honest Copenhagen single ghetto which is a little bit shocking i thought it was any more city but it was still you know great time we had falafel they weren’t that nice to me they seemed a bit upset when I had sent my food back because they put yogurt sauce on it so that put a bit of a damper on my experience on my first night in Copenhagen then our second day was amazing we rented bike and we saw the city and we saw quite a bit actually for one day that just shows kind of how small the city is and we went to the local food market and I had the Colombian vegan hamburger with planting fries and then yesterday we actually did a quick trip to Malmo Sweden and literally was just like about an hour’s trip on train so that just shows how small the countries are and how closely we walked on memo he went to the museum we saw the castle so quite a bit and it was really fun and then we actually went about a half an hour walk to the vegan bar and had a vegan hamburger which was out of this world and then here we are we’re now at the copenhagen airport waiting for our flight back to Reykjavik Iceland and often we go so overall I would say that the Scandinavian countries don’t really have veganism down pat they definitely have vegetarian down pat and i would say iceland and norway were probably my best food experiences and malmö sweden where we obviously had the vegan hamburger um I I would just say I had basically order vegetarian items and try to make them alter it which is fine I never thought once that you know I was going to be absolutely perfect so that is it if you plan on traveling to any of these countries that I’ve gone to again just do your research to see what restaurants are out there look at menus and see what you can get for you alright hi you

Training with the Meat-Free MMA Fighter

More important is the time that I’m having while I’m training in the actual fight you know the fight is just a result upon my training was and how I’ll prepare that way so if you put too much pressure on the result and you have an attachment to the result then you’re always waiting for that moment you don’t enjoy everything that happens up until that moment flights gonna happen on that day when that day comes I’ll get my adrenaline going but I’m not going to get my adrenaline going today over that let’s start from closed guard today if you open the legs keep going if you get to half guard keep going into a full pass if the guy turns to his knees the guys I hear boom it turns to his knees keep going until it’s a full pass if he gets both hooks then you stop all right if you sweep or submit you stop all right let’s go my name is Kron Gracie I was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil I’ve been competing which it’s my whole life teaching my whole life more recently like the past five years I’ve been focusing on MMA Jiu Jitsu is the biggest foundation for fighting I think if you don’t know jiu-jitsu it’s gonna have a hard time to get into a real fight with somebody because the fight is most likely going to end up on the ground at some point so I think jiu-jitsu is the most valuable martial artist I’ve been teaching introduced my whole life I spent a lot of time building this gym spending a lot of time building my jiu-jitsu spend a lot of time building my students good job guys good morning everybody are you guys ready for some apple cider vinegar shots for what if I cannot do this first helps flush out my body of my system first and then I’ll have like either your water or lemon water at least just water for me I like to stay light in the day and I get my body just enough of what it needs to get through that workout or through that next stage luckily Eggs Benedict right now or the big meal it’s going to slow me down I used to be able to eat anything and go train and do anything you know any 20 year old kid is going to be able to eat anything and perform still I’m going to be 28 so there’s only so long you can fight for if I’m like eating bad foods it’s really putting my body in danger it’s really putting it in risk I enjoy to eat healthy because I enjoy being able to train the way I train able to feel the way I feel and I’m supporting things that are good for the environment good for the world basically haven’t eaten a year I eat fish and I don’t need too much dairy I don’t drink milk I don’t eat that much gluten it just kind of happened slowly you know it took a long time for me to be able to really believe and not being able to eat meat and still be a professional athlete I’ve been doing jiu-jitsu since basically before I can remember what is what I already was training with a little ghee on and a little yellow belt I started learning with my father and he learned with his father so we come from a very strong foundation of jiu-jitsu my grandfather was the Jiu Jitsu what Einstein is to mathematics you know he basically took Japanese Jitsu which was based on explosiveness and strength and started developing his own techniques his whole mission was to prove that jiu-jitsu was based on leverage and that a weaker man can beat a bigger man within a little bit of time he became the one who was the representor and like actually fighting and his brother kind of stepped inside and became the businessman and them together was real made the Gracie family one had 21 kids the other one had nine kids and they just basically created this army of little jiu-jitsu champions biggest martial arts family in the world and we’ve been representing for hundred years most people who even watch fighting don’t even know who the Gracie’s are it’s almost lost and your arm trying to make sure that the family name is kept alive [Music] you we’re in Santa Monica and we’re gonna run six miles to Venice pier and back you really don’t need that much food like if you’re eating like nutritious food with nutrients in small meals you can keep your energy level way higher have a better endurance have a better training have a better everything you know you live longer move faster and think better when you eat a lot of food it makes almost like slow I’ve eaten like that too and I eat like this and I’m able to perform way more and do more if I eat less and just see good food I [Music] train for triathlons to help me with fighting for me triathlon and running and biking and swimming is just fun and being out and just doing something different because I’ve been caged up in a gym with a bunch of men training sweating just grappling and punching that it’ll drive you crazy I’ve learned a lot of breathing from my father you know he from a little young age my dad you always was encouraging me to learn how to breathe and he always did diaphragm work and did a lot of movement with breathing and as I get older and older and older more difficult situations more mental stress more physical stress all these things start adding up and I kind of started to breathe more and I kind of restarted to notice that it was a big part of my life and a big part of my growth and my peace so I started to put more time into it and I’ve created my own like sequence of things I like to do in ways I like to breathe things that I think are important luckily I brought a a backup protein this is this plant-based protein I really enjoyed being like good news you know tired you know like II hydrated overworked broken down sore I really enjoyed those students vision makes me feel alive you know this is a bag of sport endurance gel just sugars and salts and potassium extra lights and stuff like that I try to be in touch with what’s coming in my body what’s going out of my body if I need energy how am I going to get it from Piper to awake how am I going to relax I’m just testing all these things out finding out what works for me what’s up and I have a number one piece and yeah yeah we’re going to do it all [Music] sometimes you don’t have it but today you have it the lentils right here and I’m gonna get the hummus too wherever there thank you this is ginger this is tumeric right and then you want to explain them what this is twelve complex with a little bit of an alkaline water the vitamin b12 that we use is derived by algae and easy to bring her everywhere she can explain everything so I don’t have to explain I’m not getting much of this right now I really feel like like this much of this and I can train for another like two hours three hours easy by now my priority isn’t eating my priority is training so I’m gonna eat what I need just to get me through the training after I’m done with all my workouts then I’ll just take time to eat and you gear up and get ready for the next day it’s six o’clock yeah I’m going to go to my house show there for a little bit and then we’ll go from there ah my personal masseuse I mean it’s not like an actual massage but it definitely helps makes me feel good like my body knows exactly when ten minutes is up I already know oh so I’m ready to minerals and this helps oxygenate your blood there’s no typical day for me you know every day is a little different I follow my intuition you know what I feel what feels right to me which was my body what feels good to my training that isn’t on a schedule except for it at 7 p.m. I got to be at the gym the last few years been kind of more focusing on my MMA I’ve been teaching less and focusing more on my progression and I have to put a lot of time into other things besides you Jitsu so I’ve been working my boxing in my judo kickboxing karate and my overall performance physically mentally and spiritually to reach these strong points in the fight after training you drink a lot of water and you drink a lot of liquids because I’m dehydrated I’m delusional because I didn’t drink a lot of liquids throughout the day so I’m first trying to get all my liquids in and then once that goes down I can eat [Music] it’s 10:30 right now it’s pretty early sometimes I only get out of training like I leave the gym at 11:00 or leave the gym at 12 thank you those are mice got a fight no no I was supposed to fight this month but we got pushed back to September can I have albacore sushi okay chrome grace hero a sweet shrimp and a baked crab hand roll avocado can I have a hug green tea and a Pellegrino yeah I was like man I like this roll we’re like a California roll with big scallops on top and they’re like but we don’t make that roll I was like can you make it for me and they’re like yeah and I’ve been coming here since I was like 12 years old so they just started making it for me and I’ve been trying to get him to put it on the menu but they just they’re like oh my god I guess I got to win a lot more fights when are we gonna get the Kron Gracie wrote on the menu that everybody wants to know only for me I’ll accept it hi it come race the road oh no very tasty good to get like a little light she she puts a lot of nutrients good protein and just good food if I were to try to eat like a big bowl of pasta or somewhere and I couldn’t do it this is baked crab with avocado to tell you truth right now I’m I’m already full I’m only eating this cuz I read or do I get pool quickly my first meal especially if it is close to training this is gonna pass and then I’m gonna get really hungry while you’re going to ask for all those calories that I burned see I’m still kind of full from all the drinks and all the training I’m still kind of tripping and stuff this is just for right now and then I’m going to eat at least at least one more time you know but once I’m done with my training now I forget about my training I try to forget about as much as that possible and I just hang out with my friends or hang out with myself or do my research or eat food relax this is the time I get to enjoy the day like really and I think life is about working hard then also getting to enjoy it and appreciate it and look back and I really absorb it for the next morning early I thought matinee Saturday matinee hello campus a pickup order please all right well gang it oh yeah can I get a breakfast burrito please with no meat and extra guacamole on the side Kron Carolyn see after training I could barely walk now I’m already like almost normal again until tomorrow morning then I won’t be room 11:40 yeah just getting home it’s early this is a really day for me so good about it it’s gonna be easier wake up tomorrow but I’ll still be up for at least 3-4 hours now I actually feel hungry before I was just eating just because it’s time to eat I’m gonna I was hungry too but but not definitely feel more hungry I feel like my body’s asking for what it’s just getting through all that water and all that that I drink I know that if I wanted to if I had to I could probably eat a lot and go work out and build train myself to do that but I just don’t feel like that’s necessary you know I feel like I like the way I do my thing [Music] people get comfortable in whatever they do I get comfortable when I’m in my gym I can be that all my students I’ve taught them everything they know and once I reach that comfort it’s not the most interesting thing for me because for me to really be able to improve and achieve things that are greater than me I have to put myself in an uncomfortable place that’s where I like to be you know so anything that makes me uncomfortable there’s going to benefit me from our mental of my physical I’m going to try to do you know I don’t really think of the famous what what I used to think it was you know I used to really want to be known for fighting and known to be the best in the world and I still want to be the best because I want to push myself to those limits but if I wasn’t going to push those limits with martial arts I would push those limits with other things you know whether it’s like environment for spirituality I still have it in the back of my mind that I have a bigger purpose and I don’t want to have any regrets with myself because I didn’t do what I felt was right and I feel like what I’m doing is right but I also feel like there’s a lot more to do in a global way so if I can use my fighting in my martial arts to help me achieve something better for the world that’s what I’m doing it for [Music]

WHAT I ATE TODAY + 10 MIN MEAL RECIPE (vegan)

That’s good don’t have pages if you haven’t had a donut peach so this in my Instagram story the other day you have not lived they are the best peaches ever it’s just like a birthday cake flavor yeah they’re just like super sweet anyways guys good morning it is earlier than we usually wake up isn’t it a little bit this morning I’ve made some oatmeal we’re making it a quick oatmeal as you saw I just poured some hot water on my oats don’t normally make oatmeal like that it doesn’t usually come out to be like the best texture but it’s gonna work for us this morning cuz what are you doing this morning we’re going on ATV and four-wheeler anyway it’s for wheeling yes we’re going off-roading okay quad biking are those all ATV in right terms yeah okay we’re going to ATV in we’re going for wheeling like an hour and a half away which is why we’re up early because we have one morning’s lot to do so so we have to drive an hour and a half and actually our Airbnb host yes yeah invited us to go so that’s where we’re going this morning and we’re having a quick bowl of oats with some delicious donut peaches [Applause] just a bit of sugar in office yeah I’ve got no maple syrup maple syrup we were told the trails might be muddy so I’ve changed out of my first outfit because I didn’t want to get that muddy so I’m wearing just kind of clothes that I don’t care about getting money we’re ready to go a TV hour and a half later and we’re at South Africa forest adventures appear going on I don’t want to drive my own because I’m kind of scared it’s me we’ll see we have the GoPro so let’s go go pro footage [Music] so we just finished ATVing that was so much fun I was really scared to do it myself but once I started doing it I was like okay I got this it’s like super beautiful scenery and we actually had to change locations we were at one location and there was forest fire so then we had to move to another location but this location was absolutely beautiful yes now I am so ready for food that was so fun I’m so dirty my whole face is covered in dirt I had to go to the washroom and to wipe it all dirty boy you’re like this haha shirt in your shoes we went through so many like mud puddles and Kyle didn’t lift up his feet he just like let them get soaked by mud but my shoes are clean [Music] would you get their dreams [Applause] Tom had tofu so long like some said ginger I think that’s ginger big chicken burger let’s get into it alright guys we are back home from lunch and I had a shower we’ve just kind of chilled a little bit we definitely needed that shower we got out of the shower and we have white towels and we were wiping like just like you know like drying our face and our neck and there was still dirt coming off of our necks even though we had showered we didn’t realize how dirty we actually were and I have a few friends about join me on my face so I’m not gonna cover them up because I don’t need to cover them up I’m sick of covering them up I hate putting on makeup I haven’t been wearing makeup for like this past month and a half and my skin has been doing really well except for right now it’s very angry at me but I think it’s because I’m ovulating so those of you Latian pimples but I am having a quick snack right now pretty random foods I’m having uh rice cakes with avocado and some light cheese yummy the light cheese you’re actually pretty good even though they don’t look like totally pink they’re not like Thailand light cheese but they still taste good so that’s my little snack I’m gonna do some editing because I have some work to do today and yeah argaï so it’s a little bit later and i’m gonna be making some dinner and today we just had a very long day we got up super early and then we spent probably like four hours of driving in the car today so we’re just kind of beat and I don’t really feel like cooking Kyle doesn’t feel like cooking we don’t feel like making anything so I’m just gonna whip up something super easy and quick and I’m whipping up whipping whipping what I call one of my 10-minute meals I’ve posted a few of these on my Instagram and this one specifically everyone had a lot of questions about so I thought I would make it for dinner tonight because one we don’t have like anything in the house we need to go grocery shopping and we have all the ingredients for this so it worked out perfectly so this is what I’m making we’ve got three cans of vegetable soup this one is vegan we get it from Woolworths everyone was asking in the Instagram comments which a veggie soup that we get and if it has good ingredients and it has pretty good ingredients I mean I could do without the sulfur dioxide but it’s pretty good and it tastes very fresh and delicious so I’m making three cans of these because we’re kind of hungry today usually we just have a can each but and then I’m also gonna be adding some canned kidney beans I’m just gonna drain and rinse these and I’m going to add that to the soup and in this pot I have some kale and also under here some tender stem broccoli which you guys know that we love so much and I’m just going to add a little bit of water and then I’ll put the lid on this and steam it up and while my veggies are steaming I’m going to heat up a soup and there’s already kadhi beans in this soup mix but I like to add in an extra can just to give it a little bit more protein and make it a little bit more filling okay so my soup is hot it probably took like seven minutes I’m adding in some of the steamed kale mix that in a little bit I also have some ciabatta on the side because you need ciabatta when you eat in soup I’ve got the steamed broccolini and then finally we top it with some beautiful avocado I’ve had lots of avocado today but I’ve been craving avocado so this is perfect so literally like no prep time for this meal it’s just super quick and easy literally ten minutes and done Jimmy Jimmy should we get you reaction [Music] [Applause] well there’s a little update on how Jack is doing oh my gosh I miss him so much I know you guys miss him too I see a few of you guys asking about him in the comments so a lot of people seem to think that eating a plant-based diet takes a lot of preparation and time and it’s just too much for them to handle and majority of the time yes you need to be prepared you need to meal prep if you have a busy schedule but that goes for if you want to eat healthy in any diet even if you are eating animal products you still need to prepare the animal products and what’s the difference if you are preparing a piece of meat or animal than preparing plants so I don’t know I’ve never cooked me my parents always cooks the meat I would always just make craft dinner like like but it just as long as making a regular lasagna I know like it’s it takes less time to make I think people just think they need to like think about it more because they they’re not just using like regular cheese or meat anyways I want to show you guys that you can have a delicious wholesome meal in under 10 minutes and there’s so many different variations that you can make 10-minute meals I think I need to make like a series of 10-minute meals like this is super wholesome you’ve got lots of greens healthy fats from the avocado extra beans extra protein and vegetable soup now normally I would recommend yes that you make your own veggie soup and have that prepped in the fridge but we all have busy lives and there is going to be days where you don’t feel like cooking we’re all human we all don’t always feel like cooking every single day so having options like this I think is so important because I think a lot of like what I eat in a day is that you see on youtube from vegans are like them pre planning their day and like they already know what they’re gonna have for dinner that and they make sure that they have extra time to prepare that meal and in reality we all have busy lives and you know so it’s okay to have some canned veggie soup don’t be afraid to have some canned veggie soup or healthy convenience foods I would say canned vegetable soup is a healthy convenience food so delicious wholesome I should do like boyfriend does a voiceover for my wedding so I don’t have bread that often but I love spot-up with soup but if you have like leftover quinoa or something in the fridge that would be really good to even throw in the soup you know just need those calories so guys I hope you enjoyed this video we had a really fun day today going and exploring parts of South Africa that we haven’t seen before it was really cool to like take that two-hour drive and just like drive all the way out into the country and then riding on those ATVs everything seems kind of dead but like it’s just seeing like the vast Murray like the mountains and stuff it was just it was a really awesome day we had a great day didn’t we yes did you have fun yes I enjoyed riding an ATV I was scared to do it but I conquered my fear today of riding an ATV no I was like I’ll just write on the back of Kyle’s because I was too scared but you know do something every day that scares you guys anyways guys I hope you enjoyed today’s video please make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it as it helps to support my channel and leave me a comment down below what’s your favorite convenience or 10 minute healthy meal maybe we can leave some healthy inspiration in the comments down below for everybody and subscribe if you’re new here and I will see you guys in the next field peace [Music]
