Vegan Gluten-Free Flatbread // oil-free and hclf

Oh my goodness whoever’s day we’ve had in months okay so anyways today’s recipe is kind of like a remake of a recipe did so long ago it was my brown rice flour tortillas that is actually my probably my most viewed video is that brown rice tortilla video and I’ve had some people commenting they have issues with it some people have said they have made it they like it but I have more people commenting like what can I substitute for potato starch and all these sorts of questions so I finally redone it with easier to find ingredients and it’s actually like a million times better just easier to roll out butter texture softer just all in all together butter only took me a year to do it so this is the new version the magic ingredient is basically two potato puree or potato goo or whatever you want to call it boil potatoes and water in the blender kind of makes this really weird sticky paste it would be terrible if you’re trying to make mashed potatoes but for this it’s a really great substitute for good because have that same star J stickiness to it it’s not the easy thing to clean onto your blender I will tell you that but just like let it soak it will work a few things that are important to note with this recipe one is that you want to cook them on fairly high heat and quickly so I use like probably like out of ten my burner is on about seven or eight and they only take about a minute per side to get like the bubbles and then they do a little bit of a brown spots on the side you cook them low and slow they’re just going to be really dry and not flexible at all they’re also the most flexible rafi cook them so when they’re fresh and if you stack them up the ones the middle kind of get like this steamed around they kind of like I don’t know stay really soft in the middle and that’s when they’ll be the most flexible if you want to reheat them all like I show you in the video there’s two couple of ways you can do it you can cuz I was just keeping them in the fridge after you make them and to reheat them you can either cover them in a wet paper towel and microwave them so they’ll stop they’ll be soft again and but not as Neversoft as when you first make them or you can put them in a toaster and actually toast it and you get like kind of like a crispy pita chip sort of texture this is not one of the recipes where you can leave out the tapioca starch or substitute something else it’s a really sticky gluten-free flour with a lot of binding power and it’s very necessary in this recipe another thing I want to mention is that when you boil your potatoes make sure you put a lid on them because you want to keep the water in because you’re going to use that starch and water to blend them with and the amount of water you have to add a little bit more water after they cook for blending you want it the consistency to look a lot like the one that I show in the video but that might vary depending on how big your potatoes are and how much water evaporates when you’re cooking them so that’ll be something you buy through just a little bit they’re super easy to roll out though they taste really good they’re really pretty soft I don’t roll them too thin again they’ll just kind of get dry and crispy you want to give them a little bit thicker what else so I hope the test tube works in your kitchen I’ve made it probably six times in the past two weeks just trying to get it just right and I love them I absolutely love them I haven’t made flat beds with it I’ve made rafts with them I’ve just torn about that eating them because they’re just so good and I think that’s everything I wanted to tell you so to the recipe you

Vegan Transformation | 70 to 90 kg

That’s me 2014 adopting a plant-based lifestyle after a while on a whole food plant-based diet I realized not only how create excels and thrive but also how much suffering is done to the animals that we label as food and how severe the impact of animal agriculture is to our environment our ecosystem and planet then I understood how animal products harm our health our planet and of course the animal systems after realizing all of this I was more eager than ever before to build muscle on a plant-based diet not only because I found my passion in weightlifting but also because I wanted to become a great example that you can really build muscles on a vegan diet so more people can understand and less harm is created I learned the principal building strength with Marco learns to proper form of the compound movement was deadlift bench with over his desk bend over rows pull up and did I made sure I’m gonna slide to lower class so I have a positive nitrogen balance to continuously lean ball had a good push-pull legs list and later and upper body lower body split what I’m still doing and then the key to gain strength and mass just the distances focus on getting stronger at the life I became much closer to the person I want to be and really enjoy the darkness in the channel you you and just in love nice and I hope you do and that my story was not only inspiring but also Tory Washington didn’t hear me vegan that I no longer hear Sony about meaning I don’t put me on a pedestal I take compassion one to the heart and get back to not only the community reanima our environment like the world and the global status I think that wants me hey guys I am Stephen I run around with bodybuilding usually I wouldn’t be in five years ago after being raised luxury vegetarian I’ve never eaten a vegetable eggs investigating warns that the health consequences but I thought why people would like you to get these kind of dissing sisters after looking more deeply into the printing so yeah that point on switched never been happier I’ve been diggin out for about six years I put at vegetarian for 10 years so overall plant base for about 16 years I went to my face while I went vegan well cafe specifically put animals when I made that transition going through the prison system bodies rethinking why I’m here and specifically to be a part of something that’s greater than me know if that makes sense that’s just a summary of my journey when vegan specifically put analyst and this lifestyle is one of the most beautiful lifestyle he’s found anyone out there that could many people say to be impossible but it’s I built this physique all cruelty free and I’m creating awareness for so much more than just animals I mean you know help the environment you know you help eliminate suffering from the world and the most important part is that you helped create the healthiest lifestyle possible I never had any kind of deficiency and I always ask people all the time you know if you could have more time on this planet with your family your friends your loved ones would you just give up a certain part of your diet to and the answer is always gonna be yes you know I’ve come across people that always talk negatively about veganism they said oh I’d never do that it’s the craziest idea I would lose all my games but you know I’m living proof and I just want to show other body builders and other influencers that it’s possible and you can compete just with the rest of the world solely with a plant-based diet if I can inspire one person in watching this video then I consider my job done that’s why and I just I went vegan overnight I never look back and my advice to anybody would just do your research that you know why you’re doing it if you’re passionate about it a greater purpose to a vegan your it’s gonna fuel you to keep going and seeming to spread awareness about it I mean you know why you’re doing it and just kind of enjoy it hi everybody my name is that animal protein with the primary cause of her colon cancer and once I did that research I just pretty much never turn back from that point on it’s been 11 years now I think everybody should go vegan just for the simple fact that we’ve been kind of lied to about what’s healthy and was not healthy like I said before I had a guy try to argue with me about us being optiforce because we can and I had dumped on a plant-based diet initially when I was sitting around in the hospital realizing that 80% of the people diabetes high blood pressure you’re putting in our meat supply is killing us eating meat in general is killing us not to mention the animals see that pot came next so I went from a plant-based started to the vegan lifestyle once I realize that I didn’t need any other creature on the planet to die adjust to feed me and it’s being a complete win-win ever son my only regret much like some of the other lads is that I never made even sooner I really wish I had now I heard someone say who’s the person in the world you would want it most to go vegan that’s definitely the most important people to you and that’s my family mom if you listen to this I really would appreciate if you had open your mind to the idea of a plant-based vegan lifestyle I know that we’re so set in our traditions in our coaches but if there’s any way that we can concede through our culture we can’t unknown what grandma didn’t know and now that we do I’m suggesting a vegan plant-based lifestyle 26 years old and I’ve been vegan for almost three years right now the one thing I really want to tell people if they ask me how to stay begin answers why there is a big problem say being in a sub just try to stay discipline for a few weeks maybe two months and after this time you can already feel is what’s changing like the benefits are so overwhelming that you really just have to stick with for a short amount of time until the disciplines transitions to a habit and as soon as we have to have it this hard anymore habits turns hard things for easy things that’s always my go-to approach I should try it transition slowly but constantly it’s funny because a lot of people always say so hard to stay in the retreat and turn vegan and I get those people because I was there too I even recorded video a few years ago telling people I could never go vegan and it’s all about your perspective expectations they say it’s hard it’s going to be hard if you say it’s gonna be easy the most important thing is that you just try you try to stay discipline for a few weeks a few months and it turns into a habit to a point where it’s gonna be easy for you you just stay on the vegan diet because there’s so much benefits coming with it it’s not only the recovery and the strength it’s also the feeling that you know you do something good for your environment you’re not only avoiding slaughtering animals they are also helping the planet and that’s a very big thing so my biggest request for everybody is before judging before talking how it could be how it is to try to yourself and make yourself an image what’s possible what’s not you.

hello everyone thanks for joining me and we actually have a sunny day here in the UK so apologies for the glare maybe in the video if my glasses never think but I wanted to come and talk to you about a new sort of app a new social media new thing that has come to the vegan movement which i think is going to be fantastic I think it’s definitely gonna make going vegan and staying vegan for the foreseeable future so much easier and it’s gonna allow other companies other brands that are vegan to grow together and create a community where people can find everything they want under one place so this thing that I’m talking about it’s called the V society and you can get it as an app on the you know the on app or you can get on Android obviously you can look it on the internet like that obviously I downloaded it today and found it on my phones I’ve down there have been looking for it for and everything and the idea of it basically is you can find everything you want within one thing they’re dubbing it the vegan internet so basically if you want to find articles if you want to find news if you want to find videos you want to find content creators if you want to find clothing food recipe arts literally everything about the vegan moon everything within the vegan room everything you could possibly want to know about going vegan how to stay vegan everything like that reach out to new content creators finding people you can interact with meetups things like this everything that makes being vegan fantastic about like interacting with other vegans you know food clothing everything that that you might find difficult finding out life you go on Google different websites everything is gonna be under one site and they’re meant to be rolling this out further in other countries of these in the UK and everything like that and there can be branching out but something like this is such a powerful tool this is gonna be somewhere like you know maybe like me if you could first me as a content creator you know people on YouTube on Instagram for everything like that where they’re spreading the vegan message there are different things you can come in as you know whether it’s contact great where it’s just a normal community profile whether it’s someone who is an activist this is another platform where you’re able to reach people another way in which you are able to interact with people and ever way in which you’re able to create a community and this is so important obviously when you first go vegan sometimes it can feel very very strange you might be the only vegan within your group of friends within your family within your own little sub sector you know your little group of friends whatever it is to have another community you’re able to reach to maybe finding an area where like if you’re interested in different foods where you can eat different clothing things you might just find confusing all this information is under one site and obviously now that it’s coming as a map and everything like that it makes it so easier to reach and you can message people different like you can follow different groups you can create groups it’s basically another way well what makes Facebook great is the fact that they’ve got groups on there okay but the problem is you’ve got so many different people if you’re gonna be putting up posts trying to spread awareness or just talking about some your incident or just asking questions it’s very very easy to get negativity people you know giving you hate whatever it is for being a vegan if you come into an area which is dedicated just to vegans dedicated for people that want to spread awareness spread information help people wanna meet up weather people create friends this sort of environment is all you could say are protecting them a protective environment but it’s an area where if you’re a vegan you’re interested your transition wherever it is this community is going to have everything you could possibly want and a lot of people when they fail or they’re no longer vegan a lot of time it is because they don’t have that supported out that community they struggle finding things to eat they struggle you know finding out information they just you know a and out with other friends out there’s so many different things that go into some people failing but something like this it’s gonna make going vegan and staying vegan so much easier so I definitely recommend any of you who are curious anyone who’s transitioning and on who’s already vegan download this out whether you want to go online I’m Dominic Thompson most people know me as Dom’s Thompson Hilma animal rights activist a social entrepreneur I have one of the largest vegan quality companies crazies and weirdos crazies and weirdos you can zoom in on that right there we’re based out in New York our clothes yes this is make or recycle plastic bottles and are getting tired yes our kitchens vegan now you can fill it house off please I’m just feeling your muscles so our clothes are super sis what shot free we could probably say that they’re handmade in New York as well again from recycled plastic bottles other recycled materials organic cotton source from North Carolina it’s a beautiful cut suit yes a lot of t-shirts don’t really yeah we really pride ourselves on that we really do really pride myself on that so yeah and I’m also a multi-sport athlete which is to be translated triathlete I defy looking I do a little bit of boxing you know the all of that type of stuff so yeah so when you run one of those people you never see what they can’t be a jack of all trades and be a must you have to be a master one one yeah you can’t be a jack of all trades is like enjoying that myth no yeah and not just me a lot of people that do triathlons and I think that’s because we said once you do master it a lot of this stuff comes natural to me I’ve always been like a natural athlete but you can never go sit let’s go play travel yeah I get going to gym and outlook for most guys and stuff um naturally that strong because and you add the fact that my plant-based die makes me even stronger but I can’t master triathlon so I’m constantly chasing my own personal goal and my own personal PRS and it’s just so rewarding physically to really put your body through anywhere between a Olympic 25 mile er style type drop onto the hunt in a 40-mile type of Armand yeah I know for myself when I first went me you know I was lifting heavier my recovery time was a lot faster and I was just surprising myself I never loved loved running and all of a sudden I was doing half marathons and one is addicted it’s so addictive I encourage everyone to run look anyway I’m not gonna say I’m not a gym rat that’s a totally different type of an athlete I really encourage you to get out of that gym and I also brings me to that’s a good segue to I want you all to realize too just because someone is a aesthetic looking doesn’t mean that they’re really healthy or functional so just think about that most of these people men and women that look aesthetic they might be pulled on Petes and steroids and other drugs and supplements but they can go out here to run them out they might collapse and that’s not the shame but I’m just saying just really be careful what you buy it to and what you believe it’s you and saying all I have to say is the plant-based way of living it’s the best way with respect to your body and also get out there and run to leave that gym gym it’s great we get out there what was the biggest difference for you after going vegan what was what did you it was the biggest difference that you’ve got nobody yeah my body transformed so I went plant base 16 years ago when I was incarcerated in prison okay yeah yeah and so in there I was about 256 260 pounds and I dropped all the way down to about 187 solid muscle and I was I couldn’t split but I went vegan for the animals for to reset it just this is myself as far as away from any harm so I went plant-based specifically not indeed but plant-based food on say plant-based within prison I had like a 75% vegan diet and 25% octo wish vegetarian dairy and action without whatever they served in this in the system I would eat that but I didn’t know what I knew about the dairy industry i thought i was known animals but vegetarian but i just i was ignorant to know not what was happening there we didn’t we didn’t have the doms of the world we don’t have the what the hell’s in the world we have none of that information 16 yeah we didn’t have social media 16 years ago so the dairy industry I didn’t think was a bad thing I just I just thought the animals like everybody else I’ve been ignorant it’s living on the green land for our dairy and that’s okay and then when I got out the Cisco was able to educate myself that’s nice flip that switch what the fuck Here I am being a vegetarian thing I’m feeling good but they’re raping the cows taking the cab’s away to milk cows away from building industry it’s horrible what they’re going close to three years so you went vegan when you were in prison flat base that’s not completely being I was vegetarian in there yeah yeah but I limited meat directly yeah eliminate meat in prison yeah it’s not one of my recent interview you guys want me to check out the full story check out it’s another thing to be a vegan activist absolutely she’s a whole nother level garage I just make feel having gone through first to myself it’s an obligation as a vegan to do that to share the message and to help others and I feel the same way to it because if you think about the history of veganism historically it’s based off the main principles it’s really about compassion animals animal rights just a peaceful lifestyle Pacific everything goes for us here here the ridiculous amount of fillings you filled with respect to your help improving and if good things you don’t for the environment is all bonus sure okay what made you become an activist at the focusing vegan bit of a step up from being a vegan sounds like you’re an activist first I was respect to that’s how that’s what I was known for that’s what happened people so six seven years ago when social media first came out with respecting Instagram a buddy of mine said yo man you should get on Instagram and stop posting your workouts and do all of this and I was ignorant about Instagram I don’t know I was like one of the first people to go on there and I’ve seen all right oh that’s pretty cool but I used it right in and there not only to post my workouts but also to talk by animal rights since day one and that’s how my account through organically out here I love this man of color african-american vegan I wasn’t then I wasn’t the stereotype of what you think of vegan Mel is a pale middle-aged white guy and Here I am I guess that men of color thought of my animal rights and I’m pretty thick I’m not a small guy and Here I am doing endurance races and lifting heavy heavy is luck if you guys don’t follow me and you see how heavy I can look you can’t see you fuck yeah bitching squad and all that you know I never reported it I never recorded it you know but I got out too yeah I did over 400 before ripping at 325 like it’s nothing I think though yeah and then I I did did it I did a 225 for life I may hurts the fight we used to fight and that’s hard to tell a single mother I grew up without a father single mother that worked three jobs as a nurse you don’t want her food and we was already poured there was but she got smart she introduced me to fish she did have fish dicks all the time and chicken breast solos it was hitting the cartilage and the bones I was okay and then that’s when I made that reconnection in prison had that flashback like trying to figure out why the university has me here and that’s when I’m president I said I got a distance myself it specifically cool all evil from what I used to do which was drug dealing to consuming poison and stuff like that so yeah but just to go back to your question so that’s that’s not my account grew organically because I was just totally opposite of what you see everything Amell was and I’m happy to say I’m one original Trailblazers that started at movement so now you have a lot of men and when they’re both under my impact of it yeah thank you for everything that you’ve done thank you so much for me I don’t see it was just a vegan or an athlete I was as you were talking you’re like this these Trailblazers but more of an Oh crazy the incredibly successful boxer David Haye who was forced into retirement by injuries is making a comeback to the ring and he’s chosen a strict vegan diet to keep his health and athletic performance in peak condition he was plagued by a crippling shoulder injury that some believe can be correlated in part to his previous meat heavy diet and doctors said he would never be able to fight again consuming 24 raw egg whites and four tins of sardines a day their turning point came at the beginning of 2014 when he watched a TV documentary about how animals are farmed killed and prepared for us to eat and he explained I saw all those cows and pigs and realized I couldn’t be a part of it anymore it was horrible I did some research to make sure I could still obtain enough protein to fight and once satisfied that I could I stopped and I’ll never go back some argued that his strict vegan diet would be his downfall as a heavyweight boxer but after a hundred and thirty one second knockout of Mark de Maury hey is looking in the best shape of his life alongside his vegan diet he includes foods known as cert rich foods which are said to activate proteins in the body called sirtuins which regulate biological processes such as aging cellular death inflammation and metabolism and protect cells from dying when they are under stress some of these cert foods include blue briefs parsley turmeric walnuts arugula celery chili kale apples and red onions amongst others the properties in these foods seem to enhance muscle function and improved muscle adaptation so by incorporating these David Haye saw a greater response from his training and a better recovery which allowed him to gain muscle mass David consumes five meals a day and here is what he eats in a typical day first thing upon rising he consumes one green juice which includes kale arugula and parsley for meal one he has pea protein and buckwheat flour pancakes with sliced strawberries walnuts and coconut yogurt then for his first training session he has another green juice meal two is herb marinated tofu with carrot spaghetti red onion arugula and peas meal 3 is a smoothie made of oats vegan protein coconut frozen mixed berries medjool dates mix seeds chaga mushroom spirulina and oat milk meal 4 is white bean quinoa salad with fennel chicory celery red onion dried chili parsley olives and Hermus and finally meal 5 lentil and kale dal served with turmeric buckwheat interestingly studies have shown that vegetarians have a quicker recovery time for breeding rates and muscular performance the non vegetarians named Peters sexiest vegan celebrities of 2014 here in the UK David Haye believes with the help of his vegan diet he can once again become the heavyweight champion thank you so much for watching this video if you liked it please give it a thumbs up I’d love if you could leave a comment below and subscribe for more upcoming videos if you want to see what I’m eating follow me on instagram at 80/10/10 in London you

What A Vegan Olympic Weightlifter Eats In A Day! (Kendrick Farris)

Kendrick Farris is an American weightlifter who competed at this year’s Rio Olympics 2016 six years into his weightlifting career he decided to become a vegan since making the start change in 2014 Ferris has moved up a weight class and set an American weightlifting record by lifting over 800 pounds at the 2016 Olympic Trials when asked about why he chose to go plant-based he said my son was born almost two years ago in September 2014 and something happened where I was just seeing the whole thing so I’m like I need to do something different like how do you get back to what is the most purest form of our life our being and it started with the food I was doing some research and wanted to know more about my ancestry and I traced it back to one of the tribes of Israel their diet was a kosher diet but I wasn’t sure about the process of animal preparation so I made up my mind to try if he can diet now my body recovers a lot faster I feel lighter my mind is a lot more clear I feel I can focus a lot better not that I wasn’t a focused individual before but now I feel like I’m totally locked in this focus helped him set that u.s. record of a combined 377 kilogram at the Olympic Trials in May which is around eight hundred and thirty pounds with a 209 kilogram clean-and-jerk that’s four hundred and sixty pounds and a hundred and sixty eight kilogram snatch that’s three hundred and seventy pounds when asked about beef burgers Ferriss said you can replace it and it can taste amazing and be better for your body it’ll help with recovery reduce stress and inflammation in the body here’s what he eats on a typical day for breakfast he usually has vegan pancakes he also said he eats a wide variety of fruit with his favorite being grapefruit blackberries and blueberries his midday snack is a vegan protein shake and/or homemade trail mix with almonds cashews and pistachios lunch will often be avocado quesadillas or Spinach Lasagna another typical lunch is a salad grilled vegetables sweet potatoes beans and rice for his post-workout snack he has guacamole and black bean chips and for dinner he has black bean quesadillas or burgers made of homemade mushroom and rice patties he says he drinks a lot of water with lime mixed in and when he eats out he usually has some grilled vegetables vegan bread pasta and the salad bar the final word comes from Ferris he said start paying attention to what you’re putting into your body these things will help you have not just a clearer mind and a longer life but man you’ll have a greater quality of life it’s a beautiful thing and that’s the message that I hope to give to people thank you for watching this video if you liked it please give it a thumbs up leave a comment below and subscribe for more upcoming videos if you want to see what I’m eating follow me on instagram @ 80/10/10 in london
