Raw Vegan Adventures in India – Color, Chaos & Karma

You the star greetings from India it is hot and humid here I think it’s 46 degrees today fifty percent humidity super hot that’s like 110 Fahrenheit and wow going to get some mangoes and some bananas we’re excited to see me here in this fruit market maybe they’ve seen the cool vegetarian website as per the Hindu religion is supposed to be pure vegetarians when I say / vegetarians we do not eat any kind of food not just cause sacred animal living the religion but we do not even need other animals other living beings that’s the philosophy of the Hindu religion but now obviously with globalization people do not follow the religion strictly to the core in all the aspects so in this aspect we can see now a lot of Hindu people also eat non-vegetarian food now but I till today in 29 years of my life I have not heard of one Hindu person eating a cow which is strictly anti-hindu might not be able to eat it even if they’re starting hmm even if they want to they might not be able to be conscious without an hour the concierge at my hotel help me find this place called health is wealth upstairs they sell coke and pepsi and all the regular crap and then downstairs they’ve got organic foods lots of live food options as well they got a fresh produce section mostly packaged and dried stuff some organic produce here at a fruit market outdoor market and have like lots of great mangos and coconuts papaya places awesome in India is actually a huge supplier of mangoes I never knew this but they supply over fifty percent of the world’s mangoes and they are delicious here damn you’re liking your juice it’s good sugar cane juice i’m here at the Taj Mahal in Agra India unbelievable this place was built out of love for the Empress who passed away during childbirth the first impression this gives you is that of a palace oh it’s never been a palace nobody has ever lived here only dead people live here because this is a movie mean there are tombs of the Emperor and the Empress inside the main wife Ellen and this was built by the 5th mughal emperor the construction of this building now began in the year 1631 and it took the next 22 years for it to finish finished in the year 1653 like 20,000 people working I made up a recipe for a very simple salad and then I had it translated into the local language Hindu how have I been in India when most people come here from America Canada become him to get sick so what I’ve been doing is I’ve been eating most of my meals from the hotel and I’ve been having a really simple salads mostly and I’ve been having fruits with thick skin stuff like bananas and mangoes and dragon fruit have thick skin that hang on a tree that aren’t flying in stillwater on the ground I’ve been having bottled water and I’ve been having a Himalaya brand of bottled water not the coke and pepsi brands because I don’t really trust those but the Himalayan brands been really good for me I’ve been putting minerals in my water so my water is really you know good quality water and haven’t been eating off the street there’s a cow just walking spray cow no owner just walking straight down the street all by himself cows are sacred here they spin Lucia hey Lucia hey

Sadhguru- Dont Be Identified As A Vegan Or Vegetarian.

See if is a question of survival eat garbage and you survive what’s the problem if it’s about survive I think largely we passed that situation of how to survive now it’s a question of choice we brought life to everything to a choice almost every human being can choose and eat there still is a segment of unfortunate population which cannot choose they have to eat what comes but that’s not so in this country definitely one can choose and eat so once choice comes what to eat there’s a whole dimension of how to know what to eat and what not to eat if I go into this dissin elaborate affair but every human being can generate the necessary awareness that if food appears you know what to eat and what not to eat above all what kind of food is your system designed for that is the kind of food you eat don’t make food into your philosophy or a religion food is about the body it must go through the system with minimum amount of resistance for example because the question is about vegetarian or non-vegetarian how we look at the food is if you eat any food what is happening is the food has to become a part of your system it has to be integrated to become you if the food that you consume has a very complex sense of memory and information then our body’s ability to break it and make it a part of ourselves is reduced if you eat a simple memory code or the genetic code in a particular creature let’s say you eat a vegetable it is very simple or in other words in the evolutionary scale whatever is furthest away from you that’s what you must consume or in other words you never consume a mammal because it is too close to you and it’s memory is too complex and you will never be able to break it down 100% if you consume this partly you break the break down the genetic code another part of it remains or in other words gradually the animal qualities will enter your system and unknowingly these things will find expression people are going through anger stress just simply rage everywhere this is simply because of the one main reason is the food that they’re consuming so whatever is the simplest memory code that is what you must consume so that easily you can break it down and make it a part of yourself or whatever is farthest away from you in the evolutionary scale that’s the best thing so in that context if you must eat non-vegetarian food the fish is the best thing to eat because it is the first form of life on this planet as it gets more complex as you come towards mammals is becoming very complex and that’s not suitable for human consumption we can show various parameters in the body the length of the elementary can all how things happen in the system if you look at all this clearly the body is stating what it wants when it comes to food you should not ask your doctor a guru or a nutritionist now you must ask your body you eat something and see how quickly the food moves out of your stomach back into the intestine if it’s happening very quickly within 2 and 1/2 hours if everything is gone that’s good food to eat if it’s lingering on between 4 to 6 hours that’s not good thing to eat

VegNews TV: The Connection Between Yoga and a Plant-Based Diet

Namaste I’m Heidi rated for free or sole TV reporting on the vegan food scene for veg news TV today I’m at Tadasana festival you you know sokkia you yourself you’re pretty much vegan yeah and tell us why do you choose to observe eating in that way and how do you think it relates to being a yogi for me um well I like to be light in my body so that’s one of the primary reasons I’m teaching all the time I’m practicing all the time I don’t want to be heavy and laid down by food I just need nutrition that’s going to support my lifestyle so for me mostly raw and vegan diet does that so I want light easy to digest foods that give me energy do you think it’s important to be vegetarian or vegan if you’re a yogi personally I do absolutely on so many levels I mean there are so many contaminants being introduced into our food and it has such a sincere effect on our health and when our health is compromised it also influences our ability to be present and mindful unconscious it’s hard to love and be open to even our crisis are conflicted by our digestion is all block or for sick and so it becomes a real insidious cycle and so on that level it’s very important also if we’re supporting companies that are consistent in depleting our soils of their natural resources or water then what we’re doing is creating an imbalance in nature and disrespecting just really the balance of Mother Earth and that’s not appropriate either also of course as a yogi I don’t believe in initiating any kind of harm and so I don’t want to contribute to any kind of factory farming or the abuse of animals in the way that it is and I know that my nourishment can be found it might be a little bit more complex and I take a little bit more time but through a plant-based diet I can get everything that I need to stay healthy and nourished and present and very vibrant in my life and in my health I’ll wait I’m getting a call it’s my agent he’s also vegetarian he’s telling me that being vegetarian leads to better yoga and meditation practice because you’re digesting less saturated fat thank you vegetarian is good karma it’s um it’s reducing our karmic imprints so that we’re creating less suffering in the world less harm with with our diets which is part of our practice to be less harmful to ourselves and ultimately the world around us absolutely obviously the food that we eat is going to affect us on every level of our being physical emotional mental spiritual so i’m far from somebody that preaches vegetarianism or preaches to anybody what they should eat but I feel that people need to become aware of the fact that they’re deeply affected by what they eat and from that point a relationship can be developed a right relationship with food can be developed and that will look like different things for different people right but there’s a great old saying I think it’s a punjabi indian saying Only Fools argue about what to eat and we should all just remember the first law of just gratitude the fact that we get to eat at all and eat good food you know gratitude and always saying thank you before you eat what is your view on eating practices and practicing yoga and how does vegetarianism relate to being a yogi we are what we digest we are what we eat literally like we hear that we are what we eat but when we are engaged in a regular practice of yoga when we’re engaged in a regular practice of self study when we’re questioning our actions and how they affect not only our own lives but the well-being of other people and other beings and the entire environment of our planet then it was a choice that really made a lot of sense to me and it’s something and really looking at my ongoing practice what I choose like this morning even for breakfast had kale salad with tempeh so is about that like all right what am I putting in my body that’s going to fuel me throughout the day and that I can just feel good about this is essentially it’s a lifestyle festival people that are living this lifestyle people that are existing within the space that love yoga daily are spiritual beings they’re educating themselves about spiritual matters or eating healthy foods they’re living a certain lifestyle in this lifestyle is continuing to evolve and magnify and accelerate I hope you enjoyed this episode covering the Tadasana festival for veg news TV until next time namaste you

Dharma Mittra on Yoga & Veganism for Yogis who don’t want to be Vegan.

Hello I am Dominic tree I am the yoga for the past five years and my main subject in my study is to learn about to be Hagen and today I spend all my time most of my time trying to make people Hagen that’s the food of the future akin Dharma Mitra blessing on you yeah how are you liking all this cold Colorado weather despite of all this not favorable weather is still blissful yeah I feel thankful and grateful to be here well we’re thankful grateful to have you so one question I know you talk a lot about being vegan why why is it important to be kind to our animal friends is that our hymns are why do you care about them as we grow ethically civilized our compassion go beyond the pets beyond our purses and train will be on pets yeah yeah because nowadays their compassion only go to after death then after that they see that the animals as food and regarding health the spiritual growth we must the vegan I think most of the problems and obstacle that we in counting figure triggering sort of senses of perception of sometimes and analysis of the way senses of perception in other words trying to activate our third I mean most of us who want to achieve good results we have to adapt for while a vegan diet I am thinking for a long time and I spend lots of time in my workshop talking about compassion when the compassion is fully update one automatically becomes vegan why the aliens don’t land here I don’t know they have very powerful telescopes they zoom into the magma damage right oh my wait I don’t want to go deeper here sweetie and remote yeah so and it’s also very healthy vegan I mean your how how old are you oh seven almost seven to seventeen and look at this man I don’t see flow for years I believe that if you are really out of dairy your body do not accept flows for some reason you become like immune this is by by my own experience and I think we should not it’s not right to eat animal product so is a good way to start for those who like to eat meat and Jesus to need a little less one day well the change is gradual first we eliminate the flesh we still keep the eggs and in the saterland right and then after a few more weeks a month we remove the eggs the embryos the one step at a time right you hand the body adjust and then keep them aside Ellen and what do you like to what gives you strength lots of his MO fish what smooth like I have a high speed blend a magic bullet yeah is wonderful I don’t eat much solid for the road Wow so what’s a veggie juice right and this wonderful look like your organs become smaller I’m not that the past few years everything’s shrinking here when you’re so strong yes less weight yeah less number and the mind is always shocked meditation ends always in light English even the yoga some part of it we have to update nobody is hearing gilma we have to be celestial virgin olive oil hemp are you coconut flux are you we are not used are you from animals are not right what Dharma Mitra thank you so much oh come let’s get it and you look wonderful thank you for this supposed to thank you people learn from it

What do Yogis eat… the old school Yoga diet

Hey how’s it going Rob Stewart here I made a new meal I’ve been eating it as some of you know I like to like make one type of food and just eat it a lot for like weeks at a time it’s just what I like to do for some reason and I’ve been eating this new meal and it’s got a weird combination of stuff in it I haven’t quite worked out the science on what it’s going to do but so far the experiment has been going really good I feel really really good on it and here it is it’s basically straight so when we got in there is basmati rice some greens some cilantro some chopped up pineapple some Damacio boom a plum vinegar and then a little tiny bit of sauerkraut very simple very easy to make and really really really tasty so the whole key of this for me and the reason why it works so well as its high in carbohydrates which gives me a ton of energy none of this will stick to my body the basmati rice just flows right through the pineapple is sweet and delicious and packed with lots of phytonutrients that I love and the cilantro obviously is amazing cleanser delicious helps my kidneys helps clean the blood and the greens the greens bring the protein the greens bring all of the minerals and all of the the juicy nutrients that that I love and it’s a combo meal of some cooked and some raw and some fermented and yeah so my money going to try and observe how you feel and if your belly hurts may be removed pineapple or remove the sauerkraut and play with it and make it your own so thanks for watching.

Day in the Life of a Yogi, Vegan, Tiny House Minimalist! VLOG

Hey guys so every single morning now that I have my blender I always make my slow speed this recipe is inspired by freelee the banana girl shoutout and it’s bananas dates oats coconut water coconut sugar and some regular water now it’s time to check my hippies and granola Facebook group which I post inspirational quotes and information about my yoga video so definitely check that out if you have a chance you hey guys I just got off the phone with mark and t-mobile and so one thing about living in a tiny house is that especially if you’re off-grid you don’t have a lot of options for internet and what I’ve been doing for the last three and a half months is I’ve been paying for a office space it’s like a shared co-op office space in downtown Berkeley so that I can upload videos and I can work on my website and do all of my business needs there it’s a little bit expensive obviously because you’re paying for the space and you’re paying for the really fast internet there but it’s not that I’m working full time and also teaching more classes than I was last year it just doesn’t make sense for me to constantly travel downtown to go use internet so I’ve been trying to look up options and trying to see what’s going to work best for me and I ended up finding a YouTube video from this other off-grid tiny house located in Hawaii and they’ve been using t-mobile’s hotspot so I think that’s what’s going to work best for me I’m really excited I’m going to switch over from AT&T so that I can tether onto my laptop and I can truly be off-grid and actually work from home so that I’m not constantly traveling back and forth and I’m not losing time and it’s just going to work out so much better it’s going to lift a load off my shoulders and so that I don’t have to constantly worry about you know meeting deadlines um and getting the videos out on a timely manner and it’s just everything the whole process has just been really slow the last couple months so I’m really excited I’m heading off to do that at t-mobile and then I’m going to take you with me to go get wash for parking is in Berkeley California you have to pay for parking everywhere you go all right guys so was able to get everything that I needed but it is going to take like a full day for me to get my five so and walking to my car it’s always super strange to vlog that’s why I don’t do it very often looking at you funny and it’s just awkward but yeah I’m gonna head back to the car you’re going to get some fun some white by hand to quickly come home so I could grab a change of clothes and start getting ready to teach the class so I came home and of course there’s the little puppies getting in trouble they got into the trashcan once again and these little guys there’s no bad so I’m going to have to clean this up but yeah so everyone always asks me where I put my clothes when you come into the tiny house it doesn’t really look like we have a closet so we actually keep all of our items in our little couch area which is actually a chest that we converted into an ax equal huh so after I figure out what I’m gonna wear to teach I put all of that in my little gym bag and take it with me to the yoga studio this day was a pretty cold day in Berkeley so I decided to wear my scarf and it looks like the little puppy had to blow jack downs here okay so I just had to make a quick stop at Target and the tiny house is getting a little bit colder now that the season is changing so we just have to get a space heater so that’s what I’m looking for right now okay so major fail they don’t have any heaters right now so that means I just wasted a good ten minutes of my already limited time that’s okay I’ll probably end up going to Home Depot at some point between classes hopefully I have enough time for that and to grab some dinner so right now I’ll be headed to the yoga studio and get start getting ready for class so your people I made it to the studio and I’m just going to take a quick shower and start getting ready to practice a little bit of movement before I’ve students start coming in so I’m pretty early I’m probably going to chill out I have some stuff to do on my phone still and and then start my stretches and stuff like that so oh I feel so much better so I got to take a really nice hot shower and I am about to go ahead and do a little bit of a practice very very short because I’m running out of time before I have to open up the doors and get prepared for my students all right practice time is over and I’m going to start to open up the doors and get see who comes because you never know and as a oka teacher it’s hard to know who’s going to actually show up to class on any given day and again this is something that they these yoga teachers that are online or any yoga teacher is going to tell you as a student that sometimes people show up sometimes people don’t it’s a pretty big gamble even teachers that have been established for a while still don’t know how many people are going to show up to class so we’ll see this is the first studio I’ll be teaching at and then I will be heading over to the second studio about 15 minutes away from here and I’ll be teaching at super late night candle light flow class and there so it may be a little too dark for filming when I get there but hopefully you’ll be able to at least see me get into that venture I’m starting to get a little bit tired but once I get some food after class after this class I will hopefully have a little bit more energy I’m really craving a burrito right now so I might stop at Chipotle and get some of that the only reason I say Chipotle is because it’s really cheap and they do do a fully vegan burrito so I’ll be hopefully getting that right after class and then heading over to the next studio so I’m going to shut off the camera I don’t want to film my students just yet because I do respect their privacy and I don’t want to invade on anybody’s you know spiritual practice so I won’t be filming them but I will be hopefully filming a couple videos really soon with some volunteers and hopefully that will come up soon on my website as well anyway I will see you guys later ah alright so I just finished teaching um at Berklee yoga Center and now I am headed over to get something to eat real quick and then heading over to the second sphere so it’s officially starting to get dark so I’m not sure um if I’ll be able to take you with me to the next studio but I was able to get myself a nice big in a burrito I’m gonna bite into this bad boy in a second with some chips small bag of chips and that’s gonna be my dinner for tonight and so hopefully I get to see you guys soon and thanks for watching
